Don't forget the shopping in Kowloon, Stanley Market, and sight seeing like Victoria Peak. Stay in HK more then a day or two and you may want to also take a 45 minute hydrofoil ride to Macao for some gambling and other show entertainment. Those were also some of the things I enjoyed while there. Night time photography of the city was outstanding, if that's something you like to do as well. I have a serious sweet tooth and so I ate Dragon's Beard Candy when I found the stand with the old Chinese man making it.

Oh Yeah, right after you buy me an airline ticket!!! :D
Wouldn't that be fun?!?

It would be unbelievably awesome!
:D

Tix on Philippines airlines shouldn't be more say 1K round trip, though you'll be in the cattle car portion of the plane but still not a big deal, just keep thinking of what's awaiting for you in the Philippines. :)

The Houston market pretty much sucks for some reason, so it's looking more like $1100 - 1300 right now. :?

No shit! That sucks, I think that's even more then JAL charges round trip in coach to Japan. Oh wait a minute....maybe it's cheaper where I am cause I just catch a flight directly at SFO. Anywhere else outside of CA and I think you have to catch a flight to SFO or LAX and then board the international flight. I see now.....extra connecting flight for most people.

Yep, that's where the problem lies. The Houston to Cali leg of the trip is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  .

Lami, if you ever come to HK, just give me a shout and i will offer myself to be your tour guide, free of charge hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!HK is a nice place to visit and you'll gonna love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Macau....who would have thought? And I'm surprised about the Hawaii gigs. Wonder if the Beach Boys will have anything to do with the gigs there.

Wow. Wonder what that one would be like. I wonder what these dates means for when the U.S. Tour would kick off? Will they hit Europe again maybe in May? And then the U.S. in mid-June/early July?

Macau is a gambling Mecca, sharing special province status with Hong Kong. Maybe a casino show is in the works. The U.S.will be a summer tour of 25 to 35 shows from what I heard.
I guess we'll find out all the details soon enough.

I'm a bit skeptical at this point about too many concerts, cause they really don't have anything new, do they? Sure we got the Disk 2 album but they better be pushing lots of new stuff or all these "concerts" are going to get old if they just keep primarily playing the SP era stuff. If they had put out another album that was kick ass over say this winter, I could then see all these "concerts" going on. But I have a hard time thinking that they would do more concerts stateside without first releasing new material.

Thanks for the info on Macau. Never knew that. And you're right, summer tour details will be coming out soon. The press release for last summer's tour came out in late March and tickets started going on sale on April 5. That tour was about 50 dates - so the routing of the tour will be interesting if they cut it down to 25.

I agree with what you're saying about playing in the States without a new release. I'm wondering if they'll mostly stay out of the U.S. for that reason. I'm wondering if this is how things will shape up:

Asian Tour - March
Europe - May
U.S. - mid-June-early or mid-August
Recording - end of summer through the fall
Album Release - Spring 2010
U.S. - Spring 2010-Summer 2010

If the U.S. Tour is cut down to as few as 25 shows this summer, it might mean they are planning on coming back sooner than the summer of 2010. I remember reading that they will be working on an album in the fall. They could hit arenas in early 2010 to coincide with an album release.

Too many gigs without new stuff I think will impact ticket sales to those concerts. That's just me personally though. They should write and record in the fall and winter, release in the spring and hit the road gigging throughout the summer. Can't change the weather so that's the best way to work with it.

See my timeline above. 8) I agree with you 100%. I think we'll see a small US tour this summer and then a much larger on coinciding with an album release in early 2010.

I paid $815 for Cathay Pacific two years ago. I could have gotten it at $725 if my stay was longer. It might be cheaper now.

It's running just a tad more than that from SFO and LAX, but the availabilty on the return back to Houston is what's causing the headache. My job is getting in the way of my fun!

Hmmmm. I used to use "muacks" when chatting with my Mexican buds, but I think I started using muah because it was 2 less keystrokes. I may have gotten that word from mga kaibigan plokkers. I'm not really sure, though...just as long as it's not Peruvian, la wachita rica should be alright with it, hehehe.

Quite interestingly (or not :D ), SM MoA, which lies in an area along what was formerly Dewey Boulevard (in honor of Admiral George Dewey of the US Navy), is in the vicinity of Luneta, the park where Arnel used to sleep as a homeless kid.

If so, most must be Am-Fil or foreign-based chat participants. You'd more likely get "tsup tsup" or outright "kisses" from locals (noticed Arnel?).
