Glad someone agrees. Heart has some incredible songs, but Pat and Neil rocked harder and better. And their '80s stuff isn't as cheesy as Heart's. I am talking about the songs, not the videos, so don't bust out "Love is a Battlefield" on me. :x

Neil has done work with quite a few people and had a hand in Rick Springfield's album, "Working Class Dog" not to mention doing the Guitar work on "Don't Fight It" as well as numerous other credits.

True dat. Very underrated guitarist. Very distinctive sound, too.

I like all three in this order: Benatar, Wilson, then Blondie. Benatar was and is my favorite female rocker. :D

Yeah I really dig Heart, one of my favorites, but the cheese factor is pretty high in terms of the songs, and clips. Pat Benatar definitely rocked harder, and her over all catalog is better. You look at Pat and say "she rocks and looks cool", you look at Ann and say "she has a nice voice".

Agree with you in all..Pat really can rock harder with her songs..like Heart did with songs like Barracuda or if Looks could kill..difficult choice anyway, but Pat is my fav voice

Pat with one of my favs songs from her: Heartbreaker!

I posted this in the HM thread and it sums it up for me. Wilson has a great voice, no doubt stronger than Benatar's but the beauty of Benatar's tone cannot be surpassed. Listen to the outlined parts in this tune.

Despite constantly touring, Pat still looks happy to be on stage. I hate to say it but Ann looks like she's tired.

I cannot choose between Ann and Pat. I don't think Deborah Harry is in the same league.

Benatar and Wilson are pretty equal in their vocal ability I think.
However, if I have to choose.............

I'm choosing Pat Benatar.
That was tough though.

I'd like to put him with the Wilson sisters. THAT would rock.

Too many references in this thread about appearances when it has nothing to do with who may be the better singer.

What, you mean you aren't intimidated by the Titty-Shake of Doom?
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

I prefer Pat too. Ann has amazing power, but so does Pat and she seems to have more versatility in what kinds of music she can sing. After listening to this vocal performance I voted for Pat:
