I like Arby's but I watched our local one burn to the ground last week. Some roofers were patching the roof with hot tar and caught the roof on fire. Then the whole thing caved in.

It's all in what you're used to. Two experiences with fries doesn't mean they're all bad. But if you prefer these dried-out, burnt-edged things up here... have at it. I thought they were great, you thought they were disgusting. We do not "mess up" fries. I told you JITB was nasty in NC, but you didn't believe me. S'okay.

Two best places for fries here in my town, Veno's italian restaraunt, and Wings to Go. Kentucky Fried Chicken and other fast food places have a tendency to not change friers often enough, resulting in soggy greasy fries. Veno's are light, and not a hint of grease. Delicious........ :D

It was 3 experiences. Enough to make a conclusion.

I knew you were gonna have something to say about this.
But it's the same way you don't like the mexican food and chinese food up here.

I was not at all impressed with In N Out Burger.
I was told "Oh man you HAVE to go there! They're the BEST burgers EVER!!"

People are nuts for this place out west... so the wait is about 30 minutes (or more). Sorry, but 30 minutes at a fast food place... no way. The food wasn't all bad but it wasn't worth the hassle of getting in the place, waiting half an hour, not getting a table and having to eat outside... forget it. "In N Out"? Misleading.

Where did you go? I never see a line during the weekdays anymore, not with everybody getting on the health food kick around here.

The double six dollar burger from Carl's Jr. is another great one.

Pretty much!! In fact, I remember making that exact joke after one of the people who sent me there asked how I liked it.

And p.s. - That horrible looking stack of burgers reminds me of something I saw on Man vs. Food about a week ago...

There's a place called Eagle's Deli in Brighton, MA...

http://www.eaglesdeli.com/

Start with our Best of Boston award winning Burgers that ranged from a kids size 1/4lb to our Challenge burger which is 5lbs of beef, 20 slices of cheese, 20 slices of bacon and of course what’s a burger without fries, and our challenge burger comes with 5lbs of fries!

It's something like ten 1/2 lb. burgers on one bun. BLECH!!
If you eat the whole thing AND the 5 lb. of fries, you get your picture on the wall and a refund for your food.

That is a disgusting waste of food. I hope when they were done with that, they gave it to a high school football team to eat. Or better yet, a homeless shelter or something.

And as much as I love burgers, I could puke just looking at that.

What you guys need is the HOGZILLA.........a 5 lb BBQ sandwich, with a pound of fries, and slaw. Must all be eaten in one hour to get to have the meal free............I will just not eat it, and save my stomach the problem. What good is free if you puke it up later?

Wow, that is just yucky. I'd love to know if anyone has ever been able to actually eat all that, and if they actually kept it down, were they able to go poopy anytime within a week

We have a place here called 5 Guys burgers, pretty good.

Have to agree with Gunny, In N Out burgers are great! (*The single, not that monster LOL*) But then I only have one about once a year when I get to Cali. Cindi and/or Indyjoe stop on the way out to the airport all the time. :) Just what you need before you get on a plane, a bunch of grease. Never do sleep or eat properly on these rock junkets.

Omg yes! Tacos!

Those are some nasty-ass looking tacos, but they rock!

Crunchy goodness! But the fries were awful.
Phoenix area JITB has excellent fries. North Carolina JITB has gross fries.
I didn't enjoy the McDs or BK fries down south either.

My conclusion is that southerners mess up fries.

Yeah but they do great biscuits and gravy. The gravy they serve up north tastes like wallpaper paste.

Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
