Clip on the home page sounds very promising...JSS even sounds like he's retained some of that Perryish high end to his voice.

And more on the album too...the last track sounds like classic Journey with a FTLOSM vocal! :P :P

Cool, now that I gotta hear! :D Brothers In Arms is great, thanks for the preview, Andrew! Will definitely be getting the WET cd this fall! So many cds/dvds from my faves this year, lovin' it! :D

So pre-order for MR5 is monday then?

Guess I gotta wait until July to hear the Martin/Schon one eh?! J/K.

Wow, ALL of these clips sound great. I need about a $10,000 annual CD budget.

Seriously....why the fuck post at all if that's the only comment you have to make? Everyone else has been extremely positive about the CD and I'm really proud of it.

Love what I'm hearing in these previews!

The Jimi track has classic Survivor written all over it. Worth the price just for that one song easily.

Agreed, song kick's ass....even though they lifted the opening riff from Alice Cooper....

Well, I don't know if it is straight out lifted....but I get what your saying...it has that AC sound.
I'm also reminded of Mothers Finest in this tune. I'm really digging it and want to hear the rest! 8)

I'm going to offer my $0.02 here.
As someone who has always been critical of JSS's involvement with Journey, I have to say that I agree with those who have said that they would have had a great sounding future together. I've been persuaded more and more as I listen to songs such as "Broken Man" and "Our Song."
Now, as a caveat, I remain quite firm on my stance regarding JSS and the classics; he isn't a particularly capable tenor, no match for Perry or Arnel when it comes to higher end registers, and never sounded nearly as good on the classics as those two...
But while he's not nearly as good as a tenor, he makes up for it with a powerful, powerful voice. Very soothing and pleasant sounding. I'm not sure if it would have been as prominent, successful, or as good in quality as Arnel's future with Journey, but with each day (and "Brothers In Arms" is testament to this) I am convinced that it would have been good.

Major props to JSS.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

I'm with you. Add that to Jimi Jamison and Liberty & Justice with the Harem Scarem guys, and I'm pretty darn pumped.
