i suggest you leave the past behind and come back with Journey.

I'd rather hear SP sing the dictionary with a head cold, than hear Arnel. And I like Arnel, but we're talking about the king.

Not to be an a** here, but isn't that his right to do? They all do it. What subjects you can touch and what ones you can't. It is common procedure for them all to do just that.

Everything has been said, and quite honestly the stories have become boring to listen to over and over. Of course it's always nice to hear what he is 'working on', but again to be brutal about it, I'm tired of listening to the same old generalized answers that we've become accustomed to over the years. I would love to be wrong about this interview. Let's hope that I am.

You're right Onestepper. I'd like them to ask Perry what his favorite colour is and what he looks for in a woman. It'd also be great to get a list of his beauty products. You know, all the important stuff.

Unless Perry's plugging NEW music (not reissues), or talking voice stuff, I have no desire to hear from him.

What a nice thing to say. Classy and mature. But look who said it. At least your consistant.

My fucking point is that I'd rather hear SP sing ANYTHING than hear Arnel sing. Is that not clear? What's hard for you to understand? One is an original, one is a sound-alike. Doesn't mean Arnel is good, he is. He's NOT close to Perry.

Got my fucking point?

Does this guy have the stones?

Not dreamy, just the best singer ever. That's all. "Dreamy"? Who are you Joanie Cunningham?

He's just lashing out at others b/c all of his bravado earlier in the year and his insistence of his knowledge of Perry's release in the fall is kapoot, nada. And probably it's his sources have dried up b/c of his mouthing off on MelodicRock and spreading all of his so-called knowledge re albums, vocal surgery, etc.

I'm beginning to wonder if YOU are. Your posts all sound like that. It's just weird for a guy to sound like you...
(wait- you ARE a guy right? If not, my apologies, I've always assumed you were)
Somehow, I think you have visions of you and SP at a slumber party, braiding each other's hair and telling each other secrets, then having a pillow fight in their silk boxers...

Nobody's saying anything about how Perry WASn't a killer singer and I don't think anyone mentioned AP in this thread. A bit defensive cuz "The Voice" chooses to sit on the bench the rest of his life?
But to hear him say the same old lines in interviews, talk about the same stories, and play the victim... gimme a break.

Message to Perry- PLEASE GRAB YOUR STONES (maybe you'd like to do this 'spash?) AND PUT SOMETHING OUT. Stop talking about it, hinting at it and just DO IT. For God's sake...

I wouldn't say that Madsplash was wrong about Perry releasing new stuff. Not by a longshot. In fact, I think the November to January timeframe is going to happen. Look for StevePerry.com to be up soon too.

Come on Deano, you can't be serious. It has nothing to do with ARNEL writing songs. Nobody has mentioned Arnel in this thread other than Splash and he does it constantly. AP's the SINGER of Journey NOW. He wasn't hired for his writing. Why does this have any baring on anything? Perry wrote hit songs, yeah. But he's MIA. It's the same arguments over and over.... The topic of the thread was about SP in interviews. I have NO desire to hear him say the same old stuff... do you? He needs to (as someone else said) stop living in the past and get on with HIS career.
