I will say that the band sounded AMAZING. It was almost flawless even though the equipment setup WAS NOT Theirs. You'll see in the vids that the background & lighting was different but since it should be all about the music, that part Journey had covered. It was a solid 2 thumbs up.

Yeah, Journey needs to get rid of some of that 80's equipment. I remember one time a few years ago Neal came in late. He blamed it on the tubes. (not the Tubes band) This was not publicized, but he went to the back of the stage and yelled out to the roadies "fuckin tubes!"

What the heck are you talking about? Get rid of some of that 80's equipment? What does that have to do with the post you quoted?

that's what i was thinking lol. I don't think they have any 80's equipment anyways

Yeah, it's cool to hear them doing Majestic. Can't wait to see this show.

If it's not a taped intro and actually live, maybe you'll get a "Hello Oklahoma!" akin to "Hello Houston!" or "Bonsoir Montreal!" like was done before.

They should give a shout out to Texas as well. There will be more Texas license plates in that parking lot than any other. If I remember to, I'll take a picture or video of all the TX plates.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Speaking of "Lights", last night was the first time I've ever seen Neal play it with anything other than a Fender Stratocaster guitar! Just used his trusty ol' Gibson. He did use a different guitar for "Wheel in the Sky" though, for whatever reason.

People called me crazy a couple days ago when I said Arnel is starting to dress somewhat like Perry.

No BGTY. Well as long as they play NWA, it 's not a big loss as they're practically the same song anyway.
AATY is back. I guess playing TDTWT was out of the question.

I like these set lists. 5 new songs. A nice surprise to see 'Dead or Alive' in the set list.

BACKSTAGE WITH JOURNEY

Before Journey appears at Pala Casino on Wednesday and Thursday, July 29 and 30, three dozen bath size towels need to be in their dressing room by 2:00 p.m. “We will also need six bath size towels put in the Artist vocal room by 1:00 p.m. Artist also requires one dozen had towels exclusively for stage use.” That’s 54 towels for five (apparently sweaty) guys, including their fifth lead singer, Arnel Pineda.

And that's down from 104, back in 2007.

A lot more real estate to cover there  - he woulda needed 54 just for him!
