Did you finally realize that he was just human like the rest of us? Yeah, that's a big letdown. I felt the same way when I heard that Santa Claus wasn't real - and that was just last week. I'm still reeling from that blow, so I can relate to your disappointment.

I actually had a great time on stage with the guys. Especially Barry. He would keep me cracking up constantly!  Barry's a great guy. I also had a lot of laughs with Mike and Jim. I liked Greg, but we didn't really talk that much.

Anyway, hopefully people will not be discouraged to go out and see a Frontiers show based on my ability to quickly respond to emails and PMs. SG, I don't remember what you are referring to, but I assure you there was no intentional snub on my part. If I walked by you and you called out my name, I was probably en route to doing something and may not have recognized you. I know we know each other from the internet here, but although we've met face to face a couple of times, don't be offended if I don't recognize you without refreshing my memory or saying your name one more time if I stop to say hello. During show time, I also have the responsibility of being the lead production manager on stage, for what it's worth, handling all the monitor issues and situations, and generally taking care of any other problems or issues that may come up. Depending on what all is going on at the time, I may very well just be completely preoccupied....After all, when you see me at these shows I'm at my job. Regarding emails or messages, etc - I am at the computer for a couple of minutes throughout the day. I don't normally have time to immediately respond to emails as soon as I get them. I always try to go back and respond when I do have the time, but like anyone else, sometimes they get backed up and I just forget to go back and respond.

Also, I do not get any Myspace/Facebook messages from our Frontiers accounts. These go to my manager who handles the accounts for me now. If you have sent me a message in any other form than a PM here at Melodicrock, odds are I probably haven't even seen it.

Anyway, I hope that my responding to emails or PMs is not going to make people shy away from enjoying some good Journey music. Please understand that I'm working nearly all the time. I've been on the road this week since last Wednesday, and I won't be home until Tuesday, then I leave again Friday morning. When I'm on the road, I'm either driving, sleeping, or trying to put out fires. Just this week I got a Verizon MiFi so I can do more work online when I'm away from home. I don't have anyone to carry road cases or wire monitor boards or make hotel reservations or change the batteries in wireless body packs....That's all my responsibility as well. When I am home, I have a 3 week old baby and a 2 year old toddler, so my computer time at home is limited to the hours of 10pm to 2 am or so, if I have time at all.

So there's that. Sorry to have turned anyone off and I assure anyone that any perceived "snubs" are not intentional. If you take the time to introduce yourself or remind me who you are at a show, I'm always looking forward to meeting people and talking. But I am first and foremost the captain of the ship out there, and when you see a Frontiers show, I'm ultimately responsible for putting out any fires equipment wise, personnel wise, venue wise, so I may have a lot on my hands at the time.....

So back to the topic at hand....We'll be in VT next month, so if you're in the area please make it out to a show!

I've been to three Frontiers shows in the last 8 months... one was a poorly attended show in Pittsburgh, J sat at the bar with me for 10 minutes after a 3hour show and bullshitted with me, very gracious/nice... it was easy to approach him and talk to him cause of the shitty attendance. The second was a sold-out Valentine's Day show at House of Blues in Cleveland, I just couldn't get to him to say hello and there was no way he was gonna see me in the crowd even if he remembered what I looked like from meeting me in a dark bar two months ago. Third time was a decent crowd at HoB, said hello and reminded him who I was, and he was very gracious. So I think J's LONG explanation here is accurate.

Maybe he shoulda explained it this way the first time instead of the sarcastic reply earlier in the thread, but the guy does get called out about something every time he puts something up here, so fuck it..

Well, it's always a pleasure to come here and see that Jim Rykbost has found another way to slam me in some way shape or form. Why? Well, as he put it, "because I'm a dick!" Great. You're a cool dude, Jim. Tell Barry I said hi.

This is the shit that makes me laugh. People nodding to, waving to or e-mailing Jeremey, and then being shitty because he doesn't have the time to get back to them or simply doesn't recognize them. Fuck, Jeremey has seen thousands of faces, a bunch of cities, a lot of motels and is juggling a career and a family. Stick to the music and make that your priority for going to the shows. Too many fucking fanboys that cry foul when they aren't coddled or don't get the red carpet treatment. When Frontiers came to Chicago I could see by the end of the show Jeremey was beat and I simply left a happy guy that saw a great show. This is the same shit that happened with Journey. Sour grapes because access to the band was revoked, and now Journey sucks, they're backstabbers and every other name under the sun. But when access was granted and passes were doled out they were top notch guys! You just have to laugh at the hypocrisy of it all.

 I joked with Gator that you didn't return my emails either. Maybe you didn't see the smiley face at the end of my sentence? I'm not the one who slammed you in here, it was your fans... I've stayed out of it, other then kidding around with Ginger. I even said I had a lot of fun with you guys on stage. I can see how you would find that as a slam.

Thanks for thinking that I'm cool though Jeremey, I appreciate it. I will tell Barry you said hello. You should call him and catch up sometime!

Another +1,000.

I have had issues with some things Jeremey has said on here, but, Good God, I would go to his concert in a minute and if he didn't have time to pm me back about the concert or didn't recognize me in the crowd, I would never hold that against him. I go for the music, and he's damn good.

And so true about the access to Journey comment, SJ. Hypocrisy to the nth degree.

BB, Im AOK. Really. I felt like I was being shit on somewhat. I dont dig that. Ive went to bat for Jeremey a shitload in the past. He knows that. I love that band and they are well worth the money to see them. My beef has never been that they dont deliver...its the issues I spoke of above. Jeremey stated he doesnt check his MYSpace messages. That probably explains a lot. Im sure I sent him messages over there and its all probably an honest mistake. Shit, Jeremey knows-or should know-that I think hes an awesome talent. And if this is all bullshit on my part then I apoligize. In all honesty first thing I thought of was Jeremey is now a big time song writer and doesnt have time for those of us that were there before the Revelation thing. Hell, that would disappoint a lot of you people.
I do like Barry a lot, hes always been very cordial to me and my friends in the past. Damn, Jeremey was too. Barry is a good guy and I still love talking to him. I dont want this to escalate to a big bunch of shit.....

Im gonna assume this was aimed at me. Sour grapes doesnt cut it man. Ive already explained my piece. Dont call me a fucking fanboy SJ. Im no fucking fanboy. Because I dont like arnel this all ties togetjer according to you. Bullshit man. I think my time in the past with Frontiers was more than the casual fan who shows up to get fucked up at the bar. Ive supported Jeremey several shows in multi states. I give up man, your just trying to piss me off. I refuse to play this game with you.

WTF? Would you skip seeing a Journey show if Neal Schon didn't reply to your email? Or how about the Rolling Stones, would you boycott their shows if Mick Jagger failed to reply to your email? Did you ever consider that maybe he's on the road and doesn't have access to the Internet 24/7? Sheesh... give the guy a fucking break.

Grow some thicker skin man... you aren't buying tickets for a social mixer, it's a rock concert. Interaction with members of the band is a bonus, not a prerequisite on their part. If the guy insulted you or your wife to your face or whatever, that's different... but an "ignored" e-mail? Gimme a break.

You didn't offend me...I still think your a heck of a vocalist..keep on rockin!

My last email to Jeremey was ignored as well..

Sounds like it is not worth the drive or money.

Thanks..

I really understand alot of what you are saying. But he is human. So lets try and move on  :D Let him have his dreams hell we all have them. Lov ya Gator

BB, hell you already know I love u!!!!!

Im gonna assume this was aimed at me.

I don't think SJ's 1,000,000 % on-the-noise post was aimed at you, ScarabGator.
