I did ask, Hobbes.

He said yes, I'm assuming or do he say no and you still hugged him?

He said yes, Jesus Tito. Have we met? You know I'm not some glomming fool. I ask people I don't know, unless they hug me first. And people I know I greet with a hug always. You know this. Nerd.

You only get one hug or smile per Cain meeting. You chose the hug so no smile. Next time go for the smile. That's what happened.

The whole experience is so off-putting, between the ILAA people and the Journey people... Seriously, the ONLY highlight was Arnel. He's so sweet, very appreciative of meeting fans, very accomodating and extremely personable. I didn't get a chance to say hello to Ross, but I imagine he would have been the only other highlight because from all I've heard he's also a good guy and happy to talk to people.

The rest of them, including their management, can get bent.

Bad attitude. Don't go next time. They are under no obligation to meet you as well as kiss your ass when YOU get the luxury of meeting them. You're very unappreciative and ungrateful for your experience. They let you in/backstage and you still want more.

They are NOT gods - they are people just like the rest of us. Maybe they are under no obligation to meet fans, but we in turn are under no obligation to purchase their music or tickets and THEY should be just as grateful in return that people still keep coming. And the other thing that I DID say was that part of the disappointment was the way ILAA runs these things is awful and the band can't (totally) be held accountable for that.

And I DID also talk about the things that WERE positive. So shut up with telling me about my attitude.

I didn't say anyone was a bad person. I said it wasn't that great an experience, except for Arnel, who lets you know (in a lot of ways) before you even get one word out that he is appreciative that you came out to the show, etc. He truly makes up for a lot of the other goings-on. Arnel is good people. I would go again just to talk to him. Neal was friendly and smiling, also, and he balanced out my last encounter with him, so that was nice.

You're lucky you met the "Crazy Deb" then, I would have laid the boots to ya in the parking lot first, then asked questions. :P

So ol' Sourpuss just decided to be stuffy with me, then? Flash Jonathan, he'll pop his titty back out at you. Tell him it's nice to meet him and he gives you a look of death.

...K. Think I'm getting the feel for his interpersonal interaction skills.
What a goober.

Maybe you should have flashed your rack at him when he acted all snooty?

I can't even believe you guys are describing the same Jon Cain. My guess is you met him on an off night. Maybe he wasn't feeling well or he's got something personal going on in his life at the moment. I met him at a charity event a while back & he was as nice as nice could be & --- yes, he was all hugs & handshakes with me. You couldn't ask for a friendlier guy. :?

There's a reason for that....he's suffering from a very serious bout of toxic shock syndrome. The rest of the band keeps telling him to change the tampon....he never listens...

LOL... I can't take you two princesses anywhere! :) Jon was nice to me and gave me a humorous "surprised" look because I'd just seen him the weekend before in Memphis. Got a great "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" and a firm handshake from Neal, and a big bear-hug from AP.

As to the venue, we live and learn I guess. I'm really happy for everyone who enjoyed the show. Unfortunately, the seating in our section was horrendous with no cheating allowed. There was so little room between bleacher seats that you had to alternate which bum cheek was making contact with the seat. Our view was worthless, and to top it all off it was WAY TOO LOUD!!!!!! I've never worn earplugs to concert in my life, but I needed a pair last night badly. From all accounts, an excellent concert with flawless performances -- but I'd NEVER return to that venue again if someone paid me. The time spent with good friends and new friends was really the high-point of the evening, and worth every bit of the 7 hrs. of driving back and forth. I don't regret going one bit -- it was truly an adventure. Just going to live and learn and try to plan a little better next time.

And..... seeing 2 Journey singers within 24 hours is priceless!

Just throw a couple frozen snickers bars Tito's way and you'll be in like flint. He'll have you wheelbarrowing all his shit up the table for Leonard to sign at the next meet and greet. You'll probably have to sit in the back of the Malibu though.
