You are correct.

NO WAY!! :P

Fan or not, I don't understand how anyone cannot be familiar w/more than just
Rock and Roll All Night?!? Their body of work is just amazing, you cannot listen
to the radio w/out hearing a Kiss song...well, perhaps some can!!

I have always thought that Perry not being with the band anymore was the holdback. Too many feel that he is, was and will always be Journey and since he has no interest in the band except for his time spent as their frontman, folks making the decisions may feel the same way. Not saying that it's right but if so, it is what it is. Arnel still sounding so much like Perry isn't the best thing that could have happened to the band even though this is what the people want, to be reminded of Perry. If the band went in a different direction with a completely new sound, that would hardy have gotten them in the hall either. If it's about influence, Perry was their catalyst and it's just a different band without him. JMHO

Hey, my friend...always so good to read you!! I almost didn't see you up there!!!

My favorite band is Journey and I much prefer the sexy, emotive
soulful vox of Steve Perry (<<<<for Deb...) but
I would bet that non-fans of either band would
recognize more Kiss songs than Journey songs!!

Alot of people obviously love old men dressing up in halloween costumes wearing high heel boots and spitting blood. Not my thing. Journey vs. Kiss, come on no comparison! Journey actually had more than 2 hits in the U.S. and they can actually sing live. I cant even think of more than 3 kiss songs I know off the top of my head, heck you could go on and on with journey's catalogue. Im not trying to bring Kiss fans down, just saying that its not my thing, and I really dont think they had a huge influence on music. I would agree that they are geniuses when it comes to theatrics and stage shows, and also marketing their name. I would say Chicago had alot more "musical" influence than Kiss anyday.

"terrrible vocals"???

Paul Stanley's been doing it for over 35 years.

Can't say the same about Steve Perry.

Go watch "KISS Unplugged" and tell me Paul Stanley has a terrible voice.
