I hear WalMart will soon offer "Good Taste" to buy for those with none. Isle 3 from $9.99 depending on how needy the recipient.

The guitar playing on this album is top notch, don't know where this bumblefuck French-named buffoon is coming from.

No disrespect here, we all of us are entitled to our opinions, to be sure. I have, however, learned as a fan there is a difference between being opinionated and offering “support.” JSS does not need me to tell him which songs he sounds better singing, he’s got musical advisers and peers for that. I think he simply needs his fans to tell him, “job well done.”

For a mature individual like JSS who continues to make music, continues to soar to whatever musical heights he chooses to soar, continues to pay bills (especially in this sickened economy) and even with personal issues and losses he continues singing what he enjoys while being respected for it, JSS is talented and deserves recognition to the fullest. Hopefully, the TSO #5 Billboard status will propel that man forward and he will be able to “bite” off that success and other successes as he much as he can.

Still ill, still dealing with job “issues” but I lurk when I can. Hope all is well. Enjoy your week my friends.

Nice thought re support only and not opinionated, MBPL, but this is MR where all opinions go. Maybe you haven't noticed all the heavy criticism of Arnel or Neal Schon or Jonathan Cain (much of it beyond opinionated). So goes the same for JSS or Steve Augeri. The nature of MR.

W.E.T is a G_R_E_A_T CD! Love almost every song and the one or two that didn't grow on me yet is climbing the latter. Though I love the whole aspect of W.E.T, it seems like I've heard these songs before, from other bands I just can't put my finger on. You could easily tell that there are many influential callings on this CD and it makes for some outstanding music that makes you sing along with fiery chorus's. Very up beat. Just up my aisle. Love it. I'll be rolling this CD for quite some time. My taste's have hit the spot with this one.

it's not all about the shred all the time, ya know? ( did I just say that???)

it's a melodic solo, VERY typical of Journey/Neal Schon guitar solos.

What a homer quote! JSS is a great talent, something we all agreed on whether he is no good for Journey or not, but not lets get TOO overboard on "if he was with Journey, then we would of missed out entirely on this talented man!" bs! He has many albums out of his own, including Talisman and Soul Sirkus, so we all knew what he brought to the table with his material out there already to be viewed. If anything, JSS would of found exposure touring with Journey, but Journey would of taken a hit because he doesn't have the signature sound. As much as I love W.E.T, I wouldn't be TOO happy with the way it sounds as JOURNEY because it just isn't Journey and the standard of sound I want to hear from them. But make no mistake, JSS is a helluva singer and WET is awesome.

Yes, I love that song too. I haven't seen a video to it, though...is there one? Have to say along with being very talented Jeff is damn sexy , as can be seen in the Comes Down Like Rain video. Some men just exude sensuality and he certainly is one of them. 8)

Hi dear. LOL! And she's a scary pussy afraid of her own shadow, BTW!

Yea, I get what you're saying, I mean, I would barf if all people did was praise artists on this website, but I feel artists like JSS and Journey and Styx and others are doing their thing and I respect that is what I meant. Especially when they continue to perform, they stick it out and play for years and years, that is awsome to me. Some of us are frustrated artists or we're people who could never do what they do on stage out of fear or lack of talent. I can understand poking fun at artists, but criticizing their work or how they sing or what they sing when it takes almost losing your soul to get where you are, naw I'm a whimp, can't do it. I am opinionated about lots of other things, though.

I hate Mondays! Just wanted to state that. :D But, you have you a great Monday! MBPL

W.E.T. is a superb album. I give it 10/10. What makes it great is the amazing sound quality, the great song writing and Jeff's superb higher range soulful voice. Very Perry in places, especially on 'If I Fall' which I love. 'One Day At A Time' stands out for me as the best track, along with 'Comes Down Like Rain', both sweeping ballads of a very high standard.

This album should have come out right after Jeff left (or was he pushed) Journey. That would have really given the Journey boys something to inspire them, as it is way better than 'Revelation'. I've only played 'Revelation' once, while I've played W.E.T. at least 20 times already!!!

Jeff's online store

Postby White Queen » Wed Nov 11, 2009 7:50 am

Got mine from Jeff's website: www.jeffscottsoto.com

Arrived on the day of release as I pre-ordered it. It's also on Amazon and Play.com

It is certainly worth getting as it's packaged up really well with great artwork. One of those albums you want to actually own rather than download off iTunes. Especially as this Limited Edition luxury packaging comes with a bonus DVD.

It is a great song! I like W.E.T. more than the Journey album with Arnel. So i'd have to agree that Journey should have kept JSS. I liked Augeri the best though.

I just don't get how you can use the WET album as any comparison whatsoever as to how a JSS-led Journey album would have sounded like. He didn't write anything. He just did vocals (and obviously changed melodies for his vocal style). All the album shows is that JSS can sing--which is something everyone should have known. Revelation would have still been pretty close to what you got, but with JSS singing After All These Years.

WET is a good album, but I just don't see how you can use it compare what could have been. It's just something different.

Agreed in a way... the thing I do THINK we can take from WET is that this is the type of pacing/style of songs Neal should make if he really wants to deliver us that oft-promised "rocker" of an album

true, although I do think Generations did qualify on the rocker account--it just missed the quality part. Getting a different producer would probably make a heavier album also.

Exactly what I've said. He didn't write any songs on W.E.T., which is arguably from what people said his best release yet. So you have no idea from this what would have been with Journey except I guess some have said it shows he can channel Steve Perry with singing a few of the songs written by Sall and Martensson, but not what he would have brought to the table songwritingwise.

No, but this does......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOAW6Q75FNw :) And I for one, wish they would have at least produced one Journey album together, I think it would have kicked ass.

A Neal rocker album or a Journey rocker album?
Big difference.

Soto is a Neal guy, not a Journey guy.
