Management confirms this is the legit release.

That price seems astronimical, I just can't see how they can sell this at that high a pricepoint after the ten dollar DVD.

No region protection defeats the purpose of having different distributors in each territory.

Not arguing against you Andrew , just the logic of releasing it like this. Doesn't sound professional at all.

The Amazon price reflects it being imported from Asia where it is now available (released October). US domestic (cheaper) release - TBA.

So a US release is imminent? Okay, I can go with that. So this a Grey import, like those 38 dollar Revelation CDs Target was selling..

Chubbs, I would wait for the official US release then.

I agree. :D

Wait a minute Sherlock. It's 900PM here in LA...How the fuck did you call irv and ask him about this? He is no doubt at the martini club with his shyster pals down on Highland. I am curious as to how you found out?

I'm thinking 20 to 28 dollars when it hits the US, judging by the prices for concert Blu-rays at Best Buy and Wal-Mart.

1080i instead of 1080p. So a regular upscale resolution which you could get from playing the regular DVDs in your Blu-ray player. This sounds so wrong after all the HD hype. No thanks, I'll pass and see if the Official US release brings the goods.

Does anyone know if the audio mix on this is any better than the Standard-def DVD? Honestly, this is one of the worst-mixed live DVD's I've ever heard... :x

What's the major difference between 1080i and 1080p? I know my Comcast HD service is 1080i. Does any cable or satellite TV service broadcast in full 1080p? Confusing, actually. :?

I believe Dish Network and Direct TV offer 1080p for Video on Demand. That's really about it for now. Japan/Europe will probably start the trend of broadcasting in 1080p as the norm, then look for it to happen here in the States a few years after that.

vertical resolution, specifically. Depending on your tv and cables used, you may or may not be able to tell much of a difference without comparing the same shot back to back.

Probably the orginal DVD Video converted to Blu ray which means its just an upscaled 480p video. It might look mildly better but no where near a 1080p real deal release. This looks like B.S.

Whats the audio track ? Newer releases (not all) for Blu ray are embracing the DTS master HD or Dolby Master Hd. If the audio is old school Dolby Digital or DTS then its a B.S. upscale job.
