Since I don't think I own a single import CD, I am just going to take a couple wild guesses. 1 Led Zeppelin 2 Black Crowes

would you prefer the Japanese fans getting a new song, and then everyone else complaining that it wasn't on the regular release? At least you don't have to worry about shelling out the currency to get the import now. Sounds like everyone wins. The Japanese record label gets their extra song, and the rest of the Journey nation doesn't have to worry about getting short-changed.

The point is this; if you're a fan of the new lineup, and I'm sure there are some in Japan, you probably *already* have this "bonus" track. Seriously, though, how is a track of a re-record, off of a previously released DVD, a bonus???

Well, being a Harem Scarem fan - I'm used to getting the same bonus track on THREE different albums. How ya like me now?!

A lot of folks raved about the extended version of What I Needed. If Management's dead set against using a new song as a bonus track, I agree with SJ. I think using a live version of an original song from Revelation would be the only other way to go.

Why not a brand new unreleased track from another album? I'm sure there are unreleased tracks in the vaults. This isn't RUSH we are talking about here.....

If the band is gonna canibalize their "legacy sound" there are worse ways to do it. I remember alot of fans wanting a cd version of the 2001 Vegas dvd. So a track from Manilla Live isn't so bad. Would be preferable if it was from a different concert altogether tho.

Who cares...It's for the Japeanese release...Maybe they the Journey fans over there will enjoy Arnel's/Current Journey's version of it.

The ONLY reason I wouldn't want it on the 'm getting is that DSB doesn't seem to go along with the other songs (going by what Andrew said) Eclipses "theme".

just my opinion.

I've learned to expect that.

Remember Me, when I first heard it, got me really excited about the future...Then 3 years came Arrival, and I became "less excited".

Correct.... :D

The 2 songs were

Garden Road

Fancy Dancer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBGyXIZZUDc&feature=related

And 1 of the 2 Demos they used to get signed....the other one was a cover of 'Not Fade Away'

You Can't Fight It

Not Fade Away

If you can grab a copy of the bootleg, The Fifth Order of Angels, you should. It is the FIRST show that Neil played out with the boys. It is a Pre-FM Broadcast Soundboard.....meaning - it could be an official release.....from August 26, 1974.....in Cleveland.

The fact remains that the *bonus* on this album is a 30 year old song that's a re-record. Moreover, the song has been downloaded 5 million times and is on about 30 million albums that have been sold. Chop sticks would have been less insulting.

What's up with this idea? :? I could care less bitching on a new song, no flow, accent, non-Journey, spiritual concept whatever, etc. but a re-tread again? Not very good, Journey.

EDIT: Is there an official announcement?

Exactly....who cares!

Now the die-hards don't have to fork out extra cash for one extra track. Glad it's not a new studio track. We are talking japan only release folks.
