I think Birmingham is sort of a Sell Out since the only tickets that came up were those that were greyed out on the side of the stage. I was there (I think) in 2007 for Journey with JSS and it wasn't a big seller, not sure of the venue, but I keep thinking there was another big show in London on that same date. I don't know if it's the same venue, but I saw Def Leppard and White Snake at what I think is this venue although I think it was called something like the NIA Arena??



I guess I don't know anything since I can can say is "I think"

OOPS!! This was Newcastle, Birmingham still had tickets available in Row YV. You figure that one out!! Birmingham was still the Journey/JSS show I THINK!!

I really hated to see this tour match up, I'm dreading the reviews about 3 bands without their former lead singers. It has to be said, because I can guarantee it will come out in a review. I guess it's just see how it goes!! I would have loved to see the Scorps (but then who headlines?) or someone like Mr Big.!!

Styx's position in this tour is pretty laughable. It's like they have been purposely self-destructing since 1999. I love their shows, but this is still pretty sad. I watched Styx blow Foreigner away last year in Pittsburgh.

The tours have been well received since 2007, and the reviews will probably be positive for the most part. But what are people expecting? Well, seeing as Foreigner and Styx don't have new albums to promote, a ton of hits is coming. I'm sure Foreigner will raise the roof when they finish up with Jukebox Hero/Whole Lotta Love. That will put the onous on Journey to give the crowd the same thing, lots of hits. If Neal thinks this will be a musical rebirth of Journey as a hard rock act, forget it. All those metal shows from last time over don't mean anything when your opening act wows the crowd over with "I Want To Know What Love Is."

Too bad a Scorpions/Cinderella/Europe package didnt work out. Eclipse might have fit in rather well with those fans.

Cinderella OR Europe is what I should have said but alas, the best laid plans. Letting Schon make a heavier album is one thing, letting him tour in a package that attracts that type of audience at the expense of the casual fans might have been too much for Irving to take.
