And it is not Styx without Dennis, Foreginer without Lou, Van Halen with Sammy ( ), ACDC with out Bon, Meatloaf with Jim, Chicgao with Peter, Bad Company with Paul, Asia without Wetton, Kiss with VV, Sabbath with Ozzy, The Eagles with Randy, Toto with Bobby,
and if y I can name more. But my point, I gald those groups above never released another cd after those people left. They were washed after them both or either commerically or critically. Good call there Froy!

never released another CD? Did your car hit some Black Ice and give you permanent memory loss?

According to Froy, anyone who has a member quit, the group is done. Should never release another thing. So I was saying is was a good thing those groups did, but according to froy the didn't Make sense? Using Froyism.

Apparently with out seats in the main area, the capacity would be 12,500 instead of the 10,700 from last night.

Sounds like a great show!
LTS for the encore- bummer.
Man, I'd much rather hear another new song like Ritual or Someone.
LTS is lame. Always was.

I think they're just giving the crowd what they want. Even if we're tired of the dirty dozen here in the states, it's a big thing to them overseas. Don't forget, the greatest hits ran up to #12 on their chart last year. It's like a brand new start for a lot of them as Journey fans.

Definitely responsible of them to do so, but I shudder to think that the crowd wants shit like LTS. Toss in IBAWY instead.

Dennis quit STYX ? News to me Lou quit Foreigner news to me. Sammy and Van Halen ok whatever/ Bon Died no issue, The rest you named are irrelevant.
Journey should never release anything again without Perry, Styx forget it they are destroyed thanks to Gowan and Foreigner has been irrelevant for almost 20 years, The music speaks for itself case and point the Gowan GI version Horrific is all I can say

So, they'll keep an old Perry written song on the set list (a tune that they didn't even want to re-record) but none of the new songs from Revelation.

I see.

They're trying to stay relevant....to their past, since that's where the fans are stuck. ;)

Wasn't Revelation platinum three years ago?

Oh, I forgot. Now days, Revelation and Kevin Shirley are both on the "suck" list.

There's not a voice in history that can lift that wreck from the ocean floor of suck. LTS is just horrific.

I just watched another clip of 'City of Hope' from youtube and I gotta say, though I'm impressed with what seemed to be a great reaction from the crowd, that song doesn't sound good live.
There's about 47 different guitars playing in the studio version and Neal needs to learn that looping the rhythm parts through his rig isn't sufficient to carry that sound.
This is one song that if they absolutely must play live, I'd permit Miles to come out and handle the rhythm parts.

Pulling off this album live, now that we know how awesome the studio versions sound is going to be one major feat.

Listen to it and give us your thoughts.
'City of Hope' was entirely too formulaic and Journey-by-the-numbers for an opening track, but its saving grace was that badass continuous riff. Neal's playing the wrong parts live. If anything, it should be the high pitched-wailing shit that's being looped through his guitar.

I want to be nice this tour and not say anything bad about youtube videos as we know they're not an accurate representation of the real audio.

That said...How much stuff is being auto generated here? Arnel moves the mic away from him and the vocals just keep going with all the reverb and they even abruptly double at some points.
At 1:19 the vocals go to shit and the Guitar just goes all weird. At 2:30 it' just a mess.

The crowd seemed very..polite.

They definitely have a lot of kinks to work out here.

Great sounding album but out there live? If they don't have someone with this backround already, any sound guy that has worked on the road with Floyd, Rush, Yes, The Moody Blues, etc. might be a good edition here, even if just as a consultant.
Just a ton of stuff going on in these clips.

Okay, that's my 2¢.
