For me, Chain of Love is prolly the strongest track on the cd.

That might be my favorite Journey song ever.

Chain of love alone is worth buying this cd.

It is a brilliant song and different from what's out there from any band. Love it.

It's a good song...I like Resonate better.

Far better than a "good" song, as is Resonate. Resonate is my favorite, or I guess they both tie, with Edge of the Moment right behind them. All superb songs.

Well now I didn't exactly need to whip out my ouija board and drop a line to Nostradamus to predict that.

There really isn't a weak song on the album. Subsequent listens have had me doubting some of my earlier reviews; it's now threatening to shove TBF off its golden plinth in my heart.

My only complaint on the album is Human Feel should have been the radio edit.

'Human Feel's a great song, though. Love the beat. I listen to it when I'm giving Portland a good ol' thrashing and it's surprisingly rhythmic....

I use the term with deep fondness and love. Portland, though we may disagree on a few things (and it's okay to be wrong..... so I'm told), it's never ever been personal and I enjoy our little sessions. :)

I find FTLOSM, actually, to be a better effort than ST and it used to be one of my very favorites. It was my quote in the 8th grade yearbook, "all for the love of strange medicine."

Ah... now I understand......always wondered why a poster choosing the name of StrangeMedicine be so belligerent toward the creator of his namesake.

It's an easy concept for those among us who don't belong in a white padded cell for the rest of their natural lives.

Here is the revelation in a nutshell: It is possible for those of us who don't view the world and the people in it through rose colored glasses, to simultaneously respect a man for his talents and criticize him for his shortcomings. In this case, it is possible to say that Perry is one's favorite singer and a man who left an indelible mark on Journey while holding him accountable for the various decisions he made that had a negative impact on the rest of the band.

This is what I've always done and it's not belligerence. I simply reject your rather terrifying hero worship of an obviously flawed man.

Anything Is Possible will be hitting the setlist very soon. Don't know if it will be released as a single but it will be played on this leg of the tour.

Starting tonight? I think it will go over well, provided AP can bring it live. Some songs, for some reason, just don't have the same punch when played live.

Not sure if it will be tonight but soon. Someone is another song that might get a nod also this summer.
When it comes to fans in the U.S., Journey can never stop being Journey and I think the inclusion of AIP or Someone in the setlist is a validation of what the average fan expects from the band when it comes to the Journey sound.

I also think both songs aren't as taxing as others and might not be totally wrecked sang stepped down either.

I'm disappointed to hear that the two most pop songs on the cd may be played at he expense of the rockers, though I can understand they night think this will help sales.

We saw the same thing the last tour where Edge Of The Blade, One More and other other songs that got play in Europe were completely dropped during the US leg of the tour.
I don't think adding a song like AIP is going to help sales that much. Maybe a few thousand units in the grand scheme of things but nothing earth shattering. Radio play helps sell CDs, or more specifically Digital singles now days and we know how that goes.

So they should stick with the rockers as they have stated they already had enough ballads and pop tunes they play live...though they may have meant that for the European shows specifically.

Their setlist is going to be between 16 to 18 songs (that includes the encore). COH is getting played whether anyone likes it or not and EOTM, COL and Tantra which are long songs will probably be rotated in and out during the tour. I assume the break down will be one-third Eclipse and two-thirds Greatest Hits.

I still don't get the dislike for COH. I love that song!

"Chain of Love" and "Resonate" are strong album songs, but as for singles or being featured live, I'm not hearing it. It makes since for the band to put "Anything Is Possible" into the set list. It has the same hopeful message as past hits like "Be Good To Yourself" and "Don't Stop Believing," and it's catchy as all get out. I would hope they would pick up the tempo on it a tad bit. I think they play to a click live, so I hope it's set a little faster than the studio click was. "Someone," for my money, would be a better choice for the reasons others have pointed out. Too many ballads and slower songs among the hits already, so an upbeat rock song would be a nice change of pace. I'm actually more than OK that the harder songs aren't being played. They're just not as strong as the melodic songs. My real hope would be to spotlight "She's A Mystery." Handled correctly during the set, I think they could win over the crowd with it.

The thing is that they will be playing BGTY and DSB already. Personally, I don't need another like AIP. I like your thoughts on SAM though, and I would extend the end jam just a little (not a lot) for the live setting. Really hope I get 2 out of the 3 heaveir tunes they played in Europe when they come to my neck of the woods. EOTM and Resonate would be my picks, but would not mind COL either.
