Anyone whose favorite journey tribute band isn't ECLIPSE is fucked in the cabesa...just saying. Can't beat Kelty, sorry...

Actually the best "Journey Tribute Band" is named Journey.....duck and covering!!

To think we were making progress elsewhere....

Just to recap: Journey continues to put out new albums (one of which went platinum in an era in which CD sales are at an abysmal low, 20 years after their heyday), tours with original members and an iconic member who helped elevate the band to superstardom, etc. These are not the marks of a tribute act.

Ironically, Perry fits the bill of a Journey tribute act more than anyone else bar Augeri.

Journey = Perry + Schon + Cain...you can add Smith, Ross, Rolie...but this incarnation is not what I want to remember Journey as....Sorry.

I have really given it a chance and well it did not live up to "What Was"...maybe you should step back and

really look and listen?

Maybe you should step back....Really, the only fucking thing you are good for is to :

A. Remind people who your "Journey" is.
B. Come into threads, make what you think is a "funny" potshot, then "duck and cover"

And that's about it.

There are many here who feel the way you do about Journey present day, but they also have much more to offer in other threads.

You're a one trick pony and your act got old a long time ago.


Learn from others here that they although they may share your opinion on Journey, they otherwise have something called "Substance" (And a real identity for that matter)

I preface this by saying I don't want to ream Portland (innuendo and teasing about Perry aside), because I'm rather fond of her, but...

...My only problem is that, by her very definition, Perry is as much of a tribute act as the other members of Journey, but she refuses to admit it. That's disappointing.

Yay! Finally, has worked out that DSB - my favorite Journey Tribute band is playing a show same week I'm down in California this time. Timing wise, always seem to just miss catching one of their shows. The night right after the Mr Big show! Mr Big music and Journey music all in one visit, Deb's a happy camper!

And Juan's pipes, all I can say is WOW! Man he can sing Journey like nobody's business. LaDoDa blew me away, I haven't heard that good of a version since the early Journey days. No wonder ya'll draw such a crowd. Will definitely make a point of catching another show next time I'm down. And Cindi, you rawk!

I know Gids...I didn't ream Portland for this particular thread, but just an overall dislike. And because I'm not sure that she/he is of sound mind or mental stability, who this person is who she/he claims to be, I don't think me laying into her is that big of a deal.
