A vent about Journey's sound engineer

How does the person know the band sounded amazing when he had difficulties figuring out which song they were playing by the sound distortion?

From what i understand, (Read a bunch), that "Incredible Guy" they hired for 2 years, on Allan Parson's recommendation, was let go, or quit, after South America. Did anyone here go to the original Nevada Shows? They were the only USA shows, that guy mixed, they had apparently dialed in the show with the guy that Mixed Eclipse, and that original guy they hired, and it "Supposedly" sounded amazing / better then Journey has sounded live in years (Again all hearsay / posting / reading)

There have been nothing but complaints about their sound since then. LOTS of complaints from Europe, and posts popping up from people going out of their way to complain about how horrible Journey's sound is, like the guy that posted the complaint on facebook.

What a shame, I wonder why the original guy they hired for this, isn't around?
