Sometimes there not 2 totally different things especially if he is in AA today ,

Maybe you should start with the man in the mirror and stop tearing others down and gossiping like a child.

Thank You !!!!!!!!!!!

As far as playing in a lower key goes, lots of bands (ones that know what they're doing) do that when the vocalist has a range change. Genesis seemed to do that every tour from Invisible Touch to the reunion of '07 due to Collins deepening voice.

Fred, I think even Andrew told you to knock it off. Unless you know it as gospel fact, seen it for yourself, you are just flappin your gums.

I have seen Perry twice live. Frontiers and ROR. Had a wonderful time and the man had a set of pipes that was magical.

Lora has seen him many times over the years and knows the man personally. So shut up.

Because, as Jeremey succinctly put it, his voice and songs have a great big place in our hearts.

I'm not priviledged to be as old as some of you guys here who DID see him live, and that's something to be cherished forever. I have my own Journey that I like and have seen live, nobody can take that away from them. For me, my Houston and Tokyo DVDs are enough. I have nearly all the Perry-era albums. We have people like Jeremey here who carry on the legacy, as I am about to do as well.

The point is, Steve Perry will never leave us as long as we have him in our hearts, and I do think his prime efforts in Journey and with his albums are the concrete that we hold him with. He's moved on, Journey's moved on, and so should we. Doesn't mean we can't listen to the old stuff and behold the legend.

Great post. Just wondering if you would care to expound on the bolded part? 8)

Sure Rick, I don't mean that as right this second but I am working on a fairly ambitious Journey tribute project, that's all :)

Do you know what AA stands for? Let me help you out. The second A stands for Anonymous. Do you know why? Because it is NO ONE's business who is in the program. You know nothing of common courtesy so I guess you wouldn't get that.

Sometimes you can't prove facts, but you just know that they're, well, facts. He's *been* in AA in the past and I know that to be a FACT.

Save your speech. Unless you can prove that Froy, factually, violated the terms of some sworn AA meeting that he agreed to keep anonymous, you need to button the fuck up. Let's see the proof.

Never understood the whole "Hey you drink too much thing"

Maybe, maybe not.

Could care less what others think on that matter.

Most decisions for everyone are personal. I don't judge on most things. I personally think I drink too much at times, mostly on weekends for my age. Wife and daughter love me though and I have a good place of employment. I know some who don't drink at all that have had miserable sort lives.

Just try to enjoy your time here and do whatever works for you. I think all of us can be better people unless your name was Mother Theresa.
