Security guards? Were you off key?

Well, apparently, it's bad concert etiquette to be standing, fist pumping and singing along while dressed as a complete fucking metalhead during a heavy Journey tune (it was EOTM). Molson Ampitheatre blows.

Don't feel bad, my party and I were the only ones standing during EOTM in Nashville. I was dancing and singing along until I glanced behind me and saw 18k people on their asses. That killed the mood real quick.

That song was even worse live than it is on record, so I can't say I'm surprised.

How in the fuck would you know...... You don't go to Journey concerts, remember?

I'm kidding with you, Matt. A Journey concert is hit or miss. I enjoyed mine, which came fairly early in the season, before they tuned down. My biggest problem with them right now is that the setlists are too routine and too short. Arnel really did a nice job at the Gorge, last July. He has the talent, but he gets worked and the last half of the concert normally shows this, especially when he gets to the colder parts of country or season. He hates being cold and it kills his voice. That is an inherent problem for people from tropical climates.

I really think they should go revisit Eclipse and revamp it. There are songs on there that could have been some of their finest work.

Survivor has so much drama, I guess it's to be expected. With Toto though, I haven't a clue. I thought they were supposed to be solid now (if you don't include Lukather's issues with Kimball).

Toto has five shows during an eight day stretch at that time. They might not feel they need to play a festival in the middle of their run. It also looks like they're playing the Ziggo Dome (a 17k venue in Amsterdam) by themselves on the 8th, that's impressive.

It would have to be a co-headliner tour. Flatts grossed $60,000 more per show than Journey did last year.

That doesn't make sense to me. It's not what each act grosses, but what could they gross together? Which brings me back to pairing Journey with Van Halen. Could Van Halen have grossed more if they had paired with Journey than they did with Kool and the Gang?
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

As Van Halen grossed over a million per show, I don't think it would matter. Kool and the Gang was an opening act though where as Co-headliners split the gate. Van Halen ain't splitting shit with nobody. Could you see Journey agreeing to open for Van Halen for only 200k a night when they can get more on their own. The same for Rascal Flatts. Do they and Journey really want to split 600k each show when they had some nights when they could make that on their own (in certain venues)?

As of right now according to their website, Toto still has that they are playing the rock festival on June 1st and 2nd.

I Still think Journey concert with special guests Toto would be awesome, or if they wanted to do the 3 package deal, Journey with special guests Boston and Toto.

44% of the people dont want to see any of those groups with Journey. Im racking my brain trying to think of who else would ever tour with journey, especially as special guests stateside.

Speaking of acts to play with Journey. Reba Mccentire likes Journey and is a huge Steve Perry fan. Back in 2007 she had asked Steve Perry to be a part of her "Duets" album, but he declined as usual. That would have been so big time exposure for him. Anyways Journey with Reba would be a huge show.
