You need to brush up history. Of course there is always a faction of pirate Somalis and towel headed jockey's who are going to hate us, but take a look around. Australia, UK, Spain, Russia, China, France, Italy,
even Canada- these nations don't have our back any more. These states weren't turning on us during Clinton's 8 years or even Bush 41's. They stood by us at every turn. Bush rounded up a shitload of allies for Iraq didn't he? The UK sent a decent amount of soldiers, but now they are packing up and going home, Spain sent a bus load of soldiers and soon said, "fuck this," and Japan provided a laundry ship. Yeah, the world was definitely behind us for that mission.

Australia immediately sent help, probably based on our recent history of good will(thanks Bill), and they too soon found out this was a bogus war. Sri Lanka sent 4 police guards. Outstanding number of allies we have huh?
So, artist4perry, "hate it to break it to you," but but we weren't hated before W.
Canada doesn't have your back? Actually we were the first to support the US and we still are. When
9/11 happened and all of the planes were grounded, hundreds of Americans were stranded in Canada and
many in small communities. Canadians took them into their homes and treated them like family. Canadian
troups have been on the ground in Afghanistan since 2001, and seven years later we are still there taking
the heavy fighting in Kandahar province as part of the war on terror. We didn't do it because anyone
attacked us - we did it because terrorists attacked the US and we don't sit back and do nothing when
someone attacks our friends.
Our government didn't think the invasion of Iraq was a good idea, so we focused our efforts on Afghanistan,
but with the training programs our military has with the US, there are Canadians serving on US ships
involved in this war. Our Prime Minister has committed our troups in Afghanistan until 2011 and
right now there are about 2,500 in Kandahar. Another Canadian soldier was killed in Afghanistan
yesterday, but we believe in what we are doing there and appreciate the sacrifices of our military
for securing our freedoms and helping to end the threat of terrorism from cowards like al-Qaeda.
