You're all on restriction!!
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

That little jam they do in the middle of SW and at the end, they need to save for a song. That has the makings for a great song.

Its true...you do know a lot, and you're Journey posts are usually the best on here. In fact, if the band released a statement and you released a statement I'd believe you. With that said, we're enjoying listening and posting about a recent concert where a lot of new songs were played and you just post to piss on it. Everyone on here knows Perry 78-83 was the best. But its not 78-83 and Perry hasn't done a thing in 13 years. You wanna start a campaign to get Perry back and put all your heart into like you did with Tapegate than thats something else...you'd have my support. But you've just been a whiney dick in this tread.

As for being a whiney dick, that's the last thing I wanted to be. if you say that's how I am coming across, then I believe you and will stop immediately. My purpose is to not be here to just bash these turds...but to offer something different, perhaps insightful information, that is not going to be rose coloured. Unfortunately, I am finding it real difficult to find positive stuff regarding Journey. Pineda is one bright spot I can say I like, but the five other cancers just disgust me.

As for revelations, thanks but no thanks. I don't even want that band's disc in my house. I do appreciate the offer though.

I get it. I mean..I've been a Bills fan for 28 years, but how can I root or a team featuring Marshawn Lynch and TO? Enough is enough. You have every reason to feel the way you do. If they hadn't released Revelation and I didn't enjoy it I would be right with you.

I'm hoping thats what that is too. I was hoping for the same thing about a jam they did with JSS in Europe in 2007 before they jammed into La-do-da. Ayone have or remember that?

Gideon wrote:You didn't just have a DVD of this; you make it sound as though it were the only thing on there and what the entire show was centered around. It wasn't.

Owing to the dirty dozen, the band is severely limited by the amount of rare songs they can play each show.
Their most recent dvd features Deen singing MF already.
Speaking as a fan of the band, and of that particular song, I would prefer they give another obscure track a chance. That's all.

Gideon wrote:And I gave you plenty of valid reasons why the band would like to play it again, especially when it was so well received and reviewed previously.

I don't know what yardstick you're going by here...
If there's only so much room for B-sides and lesser known tracks to be played, it makes sense to mix it up.

Gideon wrote:"Suzanne", unlike "Mother, Father" is not a showcase number for the band.

It was a hit song, and having seen them play it in 2004, I would take issue with the idea that it's not a "showcase number."
Easily the highlight of the set.

Gideon wrote:It was driven purely by Perry's vocals with the instruments being literal afterthought. No stellar musical acrobatics and I think Neal regards the majority of ROR to be akin to a plague. I personally like it, but I don't call the shots.

By Neal's own admission, the band's catalog is vocal driven.
However, Neal added a new guitar intro and outro to Suzanne in 2004.
So this is bogus.

Okay. I finished watching all the videos for the Manila show. It really was just a fantastic concert. 8) I think whoever suggested a DVD of the complete show with a live CD packaged with it had a good idea.

I haven't seen all of it, but the clips I've seen have been some of the best since AP joined. He even sounded good on Stone In Love, which he's struggled at, in the past.

He sucked. they sucked. I sucked. oh, wait... I added an extra one by mistake... (I just wanna fit in so bad). ;)

I've only heard him not do well on Stone once and that was the Chile show. After that, he's been there (at least of the clips I've heard).
