To preface, I've hear Sir Paul speak about the Beatles material that Michael held and how he spoke to Michael about working something out to get it back and being told "Sorry Paul, that's business". Paul indicated that he was hurt by it becuase they had been friends.

In response to the death, Sir Paul , classy individual that he is, had this to say:

"It's so sad and shocking," former Beatle Paul McCartney said. "I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever."

HOUSTON -- 11 News has learned that a Houston doctor was in Michael Jackson's Southern California home when he collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest. A medical assistant at the Acres Home Heart and Vascular Institute confirms that a doctor from there was one of Jackson's physicians. She said Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, a cardiologist licensed to practice medicine in Texas, was living with Michael Jackson at his rented Holmby Hills mansion. She said Dr. Murray was with Jackson at the time he suffered cardiac arrest Thursday afternoon. Jermaine Jackson said his brother's personal physician tried to resuscitate him at his home, as did the paramedics, but it's not clear if the personal physician he was referring to was Dr. Murray. Doctors at the hospital tried to revive Jackson for more than an hour, but were unsuccessful. The superstar died at the age of 50.

Police towed the car of a doctor from Jackson’s rented mansion Friday and said it could contain drugs or other evidence offering clues in the pop star’s death. 11 News has learned that the BMW with Texas license plates that are registered to Susan Rush, who is Dr. Murray's sister, according to the medical assistant. The medical assistant said she has not heard back from Dr. Murray after repeated phone calls. Los Angeles police spokeswoman Karen Rayner said coroner’s investigators were seeking to interview the doctor but said she did not know the doctor’s identity. She stressed the doctor was not under criminal investigation. “His car was impounded because it may contain medications or other evidence that may assist the coroner in determining the cause of death,” Rayner said.

Same story, different celebrity. It is so hard to read this stuff. WTF is wrong with these doctors and those close to Michael that enable and allow this to continue? History has shown - way too many times - the results of this type behavior. I guess when someone has wealth and power, it's hard to control who is giving them what medications. So sad, so unnecessary and such a waste of a life. It was so awful watching Jermaine Jackson make the public statement last night. So much pain in his eyes. My thoughts are with his family today as they begin dealing with the reality of life without him.
