I can't believe anyone thought Doolittle was the best ever. Her sound and type is a dime a dozen.

Adam did great tonight and Simon was right in giving him a standing ovation. I see him winning with Allison as runner up.

I agree with you completely about Allison's performance. I loved it! I like Adam, but didn't like his performance last night. I think Scott needs to go home next. Everyone else was better than him last night.

I agree about Scott, I thought it was great how he took a risk, but it didn't pay off. On the other hand, I thought Adam did a great job. Guess we all have different tastes.

Not true - I believe he has gone last maybe once before (and that was in the top 36). He is, however, always in the bottom half of the contestants and he has never gone first. From the Idol site:

Top 13: Adam 11

Top 11: Adam 5

Top 10: Adam 8

Top 9: Adam 8

Top 8: Adam 8

We get it - you don't like him 8) .

Ok....since the top 10 he's been at the end of the show. Only proving my point that the producers have already pegged him the winner and are trying to skew voting towards him relying on the Recency Effect. His perfomance being the most current prior to the start of voting. This show has become a sham.

I don't dispute that, I've kind of always thought that about the show. Even Simon's standing O didn't quite ring sincere with me. I really don't care that much about the mechanics or politics of the show, or who wins or loses. To me it's about maybe seeing someone whose music I will buy in the future - and for me this year that someone is Adam :) .

Bill O’Reilly has started a smear campaign against Adam Lambert. He claims that because Adam is or might be gay, he won’t get the votes, which is code for telling his audience to make sure they vote for other contestants.

Tonight I hope you'll join me in voting for Adam as many times as possible.

Adam's sexuality should have never even been brought up. He's the best singer to ever appear on American Idol and he knows how to work the stage.

So please, vote as much as possible tonight for Adam. Let's fuck Bill O'Reilly up with results.

Where is this "smear campaign"? I watch Bill O'Reilly all the time and I've never heard him say anything about Adam. And IF he said that Adam is gay and won't get the votes.....I think that is exactly what he meant. I don't see that as code for anything. Alot of teenage girls and middle age women vote on Idol. They might be more likely to vote for a Danny or a Kris over Adam.

Why is Bill O'Reilly even talking about Adam? Here's the clip-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-LwY5rtefo

It's not embarassing to kiss your boyfriend. He knows his listeners and knows that by calling attention to Adam, he'll start a frenzy.

O'Reilly is an asshole.

Nobody cares about his sexuality, they care about him being the best singer on Idol right now and IMHO, ever.

I agree. I'm not taking anything away from her talent, she's wonderful. Her new single is WAY cool.

LOL!! Actually, I'm not. I mean, he's cute, but he's definitely not my "type".

If we're going on attraction, I'd have to say the sexist is Matt, the piano player. Although, they are all just children in my eyes. I was graduating high school when most of them were being born. LOL

And honestly, being a singer myself I was jealous as hell of Adam, but have gotten over that and now am definitely a fan.

If any of you my age remember Star Search, you'll hear a little bit of Sam Harris in Adam's voice. I loved Sam too.

I agree. It was a moving and soulful rendition and he put his on stamp on the song. It was the best performance for me, second is Allison.

You must have missed Bill's last comment......"we wish Mr. Lambert the best and if he is the best singer then he should win." No smear campaign.

People base their opinion on what they like musically on many different things. Some people are voting for Kris because he is cute. Some are voting for Scott because he is disabled. Some may not be voting for Adam because he is gay. It's all highly subjective.

Scott went home tonight. Adam will win because Paula will see to it. Everytime after Adam sings and Paula talks she goes way overboard all the time...it's sickening to watch. It's like what in the hell is she smokin' tonight. :D Simon had the hots for Carrie Underwood so it was reported once and she won.

I just checked out Scott cuz of a thread down in the Survivor forum. I felt bad for the guy, but he just wasn't good. I can't believe he made it that far. Then I listened to Adam and that was killer. It sounds like there's some other good talents here in the top 8.

I'd be surprised if Adam and Allison weren't the last two standing.

I hope Scott gets a record deal. If nothing else, Muzak would probably sign him just for the PR boost.
