The baby is right there but she just can't quite give it that little extra to push the baby around the pubic bone. I try all my tricks, changing position, massaing and stretching the perineum attemting to rotate the fetal head and I know that any time, with just a little extra effort she'll push that baby out. It's way to low to do a c-section and so close that it would be unecessary to perform an operative vaginal delivery and there's no way I'm going to allow anyone to cut an episotomy. She just needs to give it a little extra and she can do it.
