Don't know if you saw this...But, a moderator started that by closing a bunch of Perry topics because "He is no longer in the band and is therefore offtopic in this forum."

That is the lamest excuse...There wasn't even any 'fighting' in the closed threads. So, where's the harm with a few Perry fans talking about the World Series and Perry's future? Just a VERY sensitive delete function, IMO.

They practicaly PROMOTE George Tickner there, and he hasn't been part of the band since the FIRST ALBUM! They allow Keven Chalfant talk there AND HE HAS NEVER *REALLY* BEEN PART OF THE BAND! If that is the unwritten rule, it should be carried to ALL topics - not just Perry. It actually makes the Perry fans look justified in being angry at the forum.

I'm actually the one who called Miles out on that one. The thread he posted with those "reasons" were the same ones he emailed me with when I asked WTF the topics were closed for.

And I told him the exact same thing, Monker - if Perry threads are going to be closed (for being hypothetical Perry situations or not), because he isn't on-topic with Journey as a band, then we'd better see all the George Tickner threads and JSS threads and all that other shit out of there, too.

But of course those guys are different...

On another note, I never really visit the Promotions forum, but I did happen to read Dave's topic in there and silently wish the band would care enough to answer his questions. No one knows if they even want promotion. Good post, but sadly falling on deaf ears, Dave...

It fluctuates. I don't think it would be wise for me to say it sucks anything's ass. But I don't think it does... I just don't get too uptight about the atmosphere.
