Perry is a VERY unique person. THIS might be exactly what brings him back. Say what you want, but he LOVES Journey, cherishes it, and knows it's HIS. Arrogant? I don't think so. It's my OPINION that what Dean has offered as PROOF is in FACT the TRUTH. But I don't say that just because Dean said so, and I don't think he offered what he considers to be proof in the right way. Lord knows I've been on the wrong end of his tirades as much as anyone if not more and I don't enjoy them whether they're directed at me or anyone else. In other words I'm not a blind follower of a cult led by him nor do I drink Kool-aid served up by him or anyone else.

Why is it that the ones who choose not to believe it are supposed to be free to disbelieve and defend the band(and they certainly are, Dean's over-the-top rants aside), but the ones who believe it shouldn't be free to say so? I haven't really seen too many blatant attacks and what I have seen have been pretty equal from both sides, it's mostly just discussion and opinions on the the subject.

No one has complained more about the onesided blind loyalty shown at BT than you have. You used to like the VH1 forums because they were unmoderated and you could spout off in whatever way you chose, but when Andrew tries to allow open debate on this subject on HIS board you bitch about it. Is the debate only supposed to be open to those who agree with your point of view?

And furthermore, on the subject of the Perry vs Augeri battles, why is it OK for the Augeri supporters to make all the nasty cracks about Perry that they want to in comparison to Augeri, even when there are no Perry fans posting, and that's not considered Perry vs Augeri? But let a Perry fan come on and post something good about him in comparison to Augeri and then it's "back to the old Perry vs Augeri thing"? I'm not talking strictly about this current argument either, I mean just in general on all Journey boards.

Why is it ok for Journey to give Augeri TIME to recover/rest when it was never given to Perry either during early touring or TBF hip injury?

OK, here ya go then...Perry took a 9 year hiatus from Journey from 1987 to '96. And then it was nearly 2 years after recording Trial By Fire where he had little or no communication at all with his bandmates. Mr. Perry could not make a decision as to whether he would move forward with Journey and was given every opportunity to do so. He declined and that was it, end of story.
