I used to LOVE Augeri, but after finding out what a true leeching scumbag he is....He deserves to be blackballed. Calling yourself a singer, and not singing, is flatout disgusting, and furthermore, wanting to continue on doing just that is even more appalling.

SA auditioned for Neal and Jon and they brought him in because they believed he could do the job. Was he "faking" his audition, too? The way you talk he's been fooling everyone from day one and you're the hero that's saved us all!

Well, it is safe to say he was NOT a good pick.

Now, I can't wait for your Pro SA, BT spin.

I leave spinning to people who do so only because they've no vision to see the truth.

The truth is that Neal and Jon have worked with some of the GREATEST vocalists and record producers EVER. They KNOW talent and found SA capable. I think that speaks for itself.

It's easy to have hindsight and criticize but I applaud JOURNEY for having the vision to go with SA when they did. It took guts to move forward with a "no name" just as they did when they brought in SP.

Who would you have brought in at the time?

I would have begged Chalfant and Rolie back. They already had songs done so the chemistry would be there. I would have also re-hired Herbie Herbert. I wonder if those Chalfant/Rolie Journey songs will ever see the light of day. Herbert has said on many occasions that the stuff they were doing was gonna "make people forget about Steve Perry." While I wouldn't go that far, I bet is was good stuff. Chalfant could/can sing circles around Augeri.

Maybe Chalfant and Rolie WERE begged...? Who knows what conversations were had and with whom?

The bottom line is that Neal and Jon both felt SA was THE man. I can't fault their judgment - how can I? Who am I to know better what they heard and felt during SA's audition? They claimed the chemistry with SA WAS there from the beginning. Despite the perceived paultry amount of new recordings they've had A LOT of chemistry with SA. They've been together LONGER with SA than with SP!

It seems to me that SA's been fronting JOURNEY like a real champ as well as living up to the expectations of Neal and Jon. I've never read a single comment from ANYONE in the JOURNEY circles to the contrary.

Safe to say... Neal is a happy man, the rest of the guys are happy, and Jeff can sing the Journey catalogue well enough to give me goosebumps!! Vegas rocked!!

While some of what you say is correct, I think you're taking quantity for quality when you say: "They've been together LONGER with SA than with SP!" Cause if we're gonna start comparing numbers, Augeri is about 60 million behind in album sales. Not to mention Greatest Hits outsold the two and a half Augeri albums over the last 8 years about 10 to 1.
