Yes. I'd care. It has one of Neal's all-time classic solos, I reckon....

Are you suggesting that Journey simply stick to their most obvious hits?

I agree on the fact that Journey should play some of the ROR songs.BGTY or WCTNGOF would be awesome in a live show....
Those are great classic Journey songs and I am sure JSS could make the best out of them.

Yes - WCTNGOF is another essential tune. Tough one for any singer other than Perry at his peak to pull off though....

Either that or "Happy To Give" with a long solo from Neal at the end. ANYTHING but "Open Arms".....

Hell, Raised on Radio the song I think kicks ass. Why not play that one when on tour as headliner act?

I know...That song is one of the toughest vocal challanges in the entire J catalog.
But JSS has a powerful voice and with a little practice he could do it.Wouldn't have the Perry sound, but that's fine as long as JSS keeps the emotion of the song.He can. 8)

If a song will hinder the singer then it should be removed.
Overall, it's just not worth it.
Plenty of other non-obvious songs to dust off.

That's TWICE you have said you are done with me, and yet you still come back for more. Ever wonder if I know more about you then I lead on? If I were you, I would think before opening your pie hole. You are still pissed because I turned out to be 100% right about Augeri, and I know you know it's true. I am sure we will meet in Hollywood, and I would expect a warm greeting of sorts.

Not going to Hollywood and would certainly give you a warm greeting but not the kind you think. I never said I wouldn't reply to you or that I was done with you. That would be silly. I said that if you are looking to engage me in a war of words or logic it's simply not worth my time. You are a bully and I am wise enough to know that engaging a bully in reasoned cogent discussion is futile. So if you are spoiling for Battle find it elsewhere. Nothing you know or think you know about me means squat to anyone but you.

Yes - that's true.

It's surprising - to me, anyway - that JSS would struggle with "Be Good To Yourself". It's a straightahead rocker - which requires energy more than range. Or not?

How ironic he was in the sound booth. The last place he should ever be is in a sound booth. Does he not know that is where the LIVE feed is channeled from?

Perhaps Augeri was there to wish his bandmates well??

Yep...prolly just there to support the band, kicking it, enjoying the best live band in the world tear through it. Hell, might even've been a kind of torch-passing to J Double S.

Completely agree. No ROR song should ever be played live again.

Yes they should, there is classic Jrny material on the album alongside the ones many feel are "too poppy" or "perry solo."

Just about every one but the title track and The Eyes Of A Woman.

Don't you have a script rewrite to do figuring out how to match up Augeri's appearance with his old bandmates with the hatred Neal has for him?

Yes, compared to the sheer poetry in all of Journey's other songs the lyrics of ROR are indeed a letdown....

well i think the lyrics are just a bit dark and a tad brooding. i think sp tapped into his inner self for the lyrics of TBF.

1. GIRL CAN'T HELP IT
(Perry/Cain)

If he could hold her, so close in his arms...again
If she could show him
The letter her heart forgot to send...why
They're livin' dreams on their own
Ooh they'll never stop running

CHORUS:
The girl can't help it, she needs more
He hasn't found what he's lookin' for
They're still standing in the rain
He can't help it, and she's just that way
And when he calls her
She tells him that she still cares
Under the moonlight,
He wonders why she can't be there...why
Why do they go on alone
When they're missin' each other

REPEAT CHORUS 2X

There's a fire
Ooh there's a fire in his eyes for you
Don't you know she still cries
Ooh do you know she still cries for you
Fire
Ooh there's a fire in his eyes for you
For you she cries
Ooh do you know she still cries for you
Fire
Ooh there's a fire in his eyes for you
Ooh nothing stands between love and you

Yea the lyrics and music on that track don't coagulate. I can feel SP's need to homage his roots, but in the framework of a guitar-driven hard rocker it just comes off as ...."huh :| ?"
