I voted Perry, but the super-cool, ultra-smooth, crooning late 70's version. Not the one where he seems like he's on speed in the '81 DVD, or the one with the chicken-bangs and perm in '86.

Steve Perry. Any era...70s, 80s, 90s...it's all brilliant.

JSS is at number two....

Fleishman looks too much like Ben Affleck.

Augeri should shed his curls. A bit outdated. Maybe he will have changed his image when returns. Perry had lots of different styles and so has JSS.

Take me back 28 years or so and Perry is it. As one living in, and enjoying the present, JSS is it.

I guess I fall into the "Perry is pretty much done" camp. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Perry's tenure with Journey, that is the music I grew up with and enjoy til this day. Steve Perry cannot be touched based on his time with Journey, imo. A brief stint as a background vocalist just doesn't do it for me. I want a charismatic energetic frontman, and not only do I think Perry is done as a lead vocalist, I also doubt highly that he could move around on stage as he did 20 some odd years ago. As I said, take me back in time to relive some of the best shows ever and Perry will be at the helm, take me to the Hollywood Bowl and I can take in the best show of today.

Now if, and I mean if, Perry were to perform today- I would be right there lining his pockets and cheering him on.

Of course it is up to him. It would give me great pleasure to have a Steve Perry show on my calendar, but I won't pressure him to make that happen. I'm all for free will.

Any picture of them is fine. I have seen some of Perry where he has his nose smashed up on theglass of a phone booth. While that may seem unflattering to you it shows me his goofy side. I like any and all pictures of the frontman I chose. :D

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, wine and chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "what a ride!"

LOVE Perry, but had to vote for Soto just to get him further ahead of Augeri.

With Perry officially retired, I want Soto to get as much positive P.R. as possible.

It will always be Perry for me, even though the other gentlemen are extremely talented too. He is (or was...?) just that bit better, more unique. Rolie and Soto are my runners up.
