It is my personal belief that if everything was ironed out, there would be a statement. I'm confident that will happen shortly.

Thank you sir. Does Steve seem to be doing ok? I mean that honestly, not to start a bashing?

I know it does. I never thought it would go on this long. Yeah, the day I got up, logged on here and saw that Steve had left the tour I had a gut feeling it was permanent... but I thought it would be made official long before this. I honestly don't think it would have gone as mental as it did at times on here if they'd been able to be honest about it from that start but I suppose things just don't work that way.

Now where is that damn ironing board?

In that case I wonder why he hasn't sent a single message or word of thanks to his fans since he left the tour....

Andrew,

Can you shed some light on why he hasnt even posted a simple "Thank you" to his fans?
It was said that he is free to post on B.T. but hasnt once thanked his fans for all there
support, seems strange and out of character for him..

I've been wondering about that too. Maybe he's just decided not to say anything at all cos if he went on to say thanks folk might start asking him stuff and it could be awkward or whatever... who knows.

Drew I know you can't say too much but can you maybe answer that one in some way?

My guess is that it would lead to endless threads and a barrage of questions. If that site had mature, unobsessed Steve Augeri fans, a statement might have been an option. Sadly, most of fans do not fit those criteria.

Augeri could simply have used a filter system like Perry does in the Q+A's to avoid answering difficult questions. Or he could have simply released a four line statement which expressed gratitude and little else.

But there are endless threads anyway...and from what a BT moderator said recently Augeri's silence is leading to a sense of disillusionment amongst the very fans he'll depend on to stay in the music industry.

That would make me wonder if he even wants to stay in the music industry. And yeah it has pissed folk off that he's said bugger all... but hey, if he's said nothing for this long then it's unlikely his voice is gonna pipe up on the message board now eh?

How can a vocalist who can't sing stay in the music biz?

He's a bit long in the tooth to try to become a reknowned guitarist  Is there a great demand for tamborine wigglers out there these days?

Yes Citygirl - the longer he leaves it the more awkward the questions will be...especially if he's asked to talk us through his recovery from the throat infection.

Yes - aside from wiggling - it might be that his music days are over - and the current negotiations might be his last ever opportunity to make some serious money.

But if Drew says there's no gag order I'll take his word for it.

I agree they're probably taking this long cos of legal stuff. But to be honest I don't really care anymore. Steve ain't comin back and that's that. I'm just hanging around a wee bit (mostly reading but not posting) for the final word. And once the final word's in I doubt I'll really be on this site at all.

Yeah, the SPIN is getting really tiresome, even the #1 poster on this site has recycled his material so many times on here that the hamster died.
Its becoming very obvious that there is no news coming, just more concert dates announced and more swag for sale.

Yep, that about sums it up. Right on! Greed, greed, greed with NO accountability.

P.S. the #1 poster and his comrades plan stategy in the secret "Annex". How infantile and pathetic. If it's a secret club, then keep it that way. No need to rub everyone's nose in it.

How infantile you are thinking that shit like that goes on over at the Annex. The Annex isn't doing a damn thing like that. That is all in your parnoid mind........

Good one, but admit it....did you buy it?

I haven't bought any of the new versions and don't plan to. I don't need another version of Perry's Greatest (3) Hits + 5 Unreleased And Even More Stuff That Wasn't Good Enough For Sony To Release.
I bought the Journey '96 remasters, these versions are supposedly the same as those, other than the additional pics and bonus tracks. We've all had the Escape and Frontiers bonus tracks since Time3 came out. Sony (primarily), Perry and Journey have made all the money that they're going to off of me for old rehashed material.

One things for sure there is no way on earth that guy is going to admit lipping,he will avoid the question or have it known that it is not to be asked in any interviews.....he is finished :?

No, I can't shed any light...I don't know. I guess my thinking owuld be that ANY post/comment will be taken as a lead in to more questions that can't be answered, so better say nothing for the time being.

I have been "discussing" this very thing over at the newly created "Back Talk" forum. All Augeri had to do was issue a statement of thanks and have the thread stickied and locked. Augeri hasn't even done that.
