"Our old singer's voice is fucked. We had to boot him out and sort out severance pay and shit. We will never forget our 5 great years with Stephan Augery. There's a new guy singing now. He's with us until we can get Perry of his butt to belt it all out one more time. That cat loving freak is driving me insane! Anyway, like I say, thanks to Stephanie for his 3 years of great work and welcome to the new guy. You'll like the new guy. He doesn't dance like a dick. We love our fans."
JESUS H. C.......I haven't laughed so hard in my 35 years......and only cuz I can see Neal saying that shit! Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont make me stick my pitchfork up your ass!

His on-stage antics are so uber-homo that I've yet to watch that thing with other people around.
The only thing missing is a feather boa, arm length satin gloves and a tiara.

At least with 2001 I could skip past the few fleeting moments where Augeri got in touch with his feminimity.
Though Perry mellowed over time, as it currently stands, he remains the band's reigning all time pole smoker.

I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. I would love to beHOLD Perry. :P Augeri just sort of makes me feel embarrassed for him. :?

Yep! :D Jackson Travis was born at 5:00 am and weighed in at 7#10. He's a cutie. I'll have his pic to you in a couple days.
I spent the day at the hospital with them.

I had a good comment about who wears the pants in Augeri's family, but I don't think Andrew would appreciate the flack that might result.

Yep. I sat in the rocking chair and rocked my first child to the music of Neil Diamond and the BeeGees, and my second to the BeeGees and Journey. My first grandson to Journey, and now my second will be to Journey too. I raise my kids right.

I heard enough Neil Diamond music in the 70s to last me forever. When my aunt died, we stayed at my uncle's house to help out. My cousin listened to Neil Diamond all day every day (hmm kinda like I do w/Perry) & said it soothed him. I still have nightmares about Sweet Caroline & she's not so sweet in them. :-) I remember learning to dance like John Revolting to Night Fever. Those are not my most pleasant memories. No thanks on that music. I always preferred bands like Queen, 10CC, T-Rex, Zeppelin in the 70s & then later on, Journey. My mother would have loved nothing more than to force feed me Neil Diamond tho. She thought he was hot! Yuck. Funny thing is I actually sang in a band called the Diamonds in the early 80s & our bass player's name was Neil Diamond. He was absolutely NOTHING like him. His brother Ray Diamond was the guitarist & my bf at the time. He was the one who introduced me to the funny cigarettes actually & those tabs that make u see people from Mars. Gee I wonder whatever happened to those guys. Oh memory lane!

Fresh off the presses, we bring you Journey's "Official Statement" about their lead singer:

"First off, we would like to thank our loyal fans for standing by us, through a tumultuous year. We would like to thank our friend Jeff Scott Soto for stepping in on a moment's notice, and allowing us to continue on the tour with Def Leppard. Jeff is a consummate professional and a tireless worker. His energy reinvigorated us, as a band. Due to ongoing health issues, Steve Augeri is no longer able to carry out the lead singer's duties for Journey. We thank Steve for a great 8 years, and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors. Going forward, we are very happy to announce that Jeff Scott Soto is the new lead singer of Journey, on a permanent basis. This will be the last lineup Journey ever has. Journey existed before Augeri, and we'll carry on without him. Thanks to Jeff for allowing the Journey to continue. See you all in the UK early in 2007".

Signed:
Neal, Jonathan, Ross, Deen, and Jeff!

Edited for accuracy :D

Hmmmmm....Looks like I called this one quite closely!!!! Really...what else could these guys have said.

I guess that defines my being your older sister Suz. I remember Neil Diamond and the BeeGees from the late '60s. I loved them then and I love them now. But I love Journey more.
