I must admit I don't know a great deal about JSS. But since I started visiting this site a few months ago, I was astounded to see JSS posting on a message board. You see I am just used to the way that bands like Def Leppard treat their fans. Hell, they rarely communicate with them at all. They never hardly post diary entries on their website. It is quite sad that some Def Leppard fans need to start a petition to see more 'diary' entries. You would never ever see J. Elliot etc. post on a message board.

So when I started to see more posts from JSS on 3 boards I lurk on, I was amazed! I am amazed that a lead singer in a group takes time out to communicate with the fans. There cannot be many more examples of this in the rock world!

I initially wasn't going to bother with Journey anymore after you know what, but this singer deserves a chance. He has proven he is so down to earth, and I agree with every word in the opening post of this thread.

As you said, you're a fan of the perry era only.

It is not about catering his communications to me , but it IS about responding in a respectful manner to something that is being said, even if it is not a fan of his, or doesn't like what the person wrote.

I couldn't agree more. And JSS DOES exactly this when non JSS fans speak to and about him in a respectful manner.

agreed, i have hung with jeff a few times, and he is very honest and tells it how it is, hes got his opinions like all of us, i cant recall any band of jounreys caliper having their front man come out and talk or rebut fans, (well not in an honest way at least)
