Babe I'm leavin'
I must be on my way
The time is drawing near
My train is going
I see it in your eyes
The love, the need, your tears
But I'll be lonely without you
And I'll need your love to see me through
So please believe me
My heart is in your hands
And I'll be missing you

'Cause you know it's you babe
Whenever I get weary
And I've had enough
Feel like giving up
You know it's you babe
Givin' me the courage
And the strength I need
Please believe that it's true
Babe, I love you

You know it's you babe
Whenever I get weary
And I've had enough
Feel like giving up
You know it's you babe
Givin' me the courage
And the strength I need
Please believe that it's true
Babe, I love you

Babe, I'm leavin'
I'll say it once again
And somehow try to smile
I know the feeling we're tryin' to forget
If only for a while
'Cause I'll be lonely without you
And I'll need your love to see me through
Please believe me
My heart is in your hands
'Cause I'll be missing you
Babe, I love you
Babe, I love you
Ooo-oo-oo-oo, babe

Worst ever lyrics, pointless and typical DDY.Whenever I get weary and I've had enough I open a six pack, as if I'm gonna go to my wife and say Babe I love you on a Friday night when the weeks got me tired and weary....come on

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

CHORUS
Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman

One of my favorite songs has the craziest lyrics. If you understand these lyrics, I want some of what you're smoking.

Strawberry Letter 23 by Brothers Johnson

Hello, my love
I heard a kiss from you
Red magic satin playing near, too

All through the morning rain
I gaze - the sun doesn't shine -
Rainbows and waterfalls run through my mind

In the garden - I see west
Purple shower, bells and tea
Orange birds and river cousins dressed in green

Pretty music I hear - so happy
And loud - blue flower echo
From a cherry cloud

Feel sunshine sparkle pink and blue
Playgrounds will laugh
if you try to ask
Is it cool?, is it cool?

If you arrive and don't see me
I'm going to be with my baby
I am free - flying in her arms, over the sea

Stained window, yellow candy screen
See speakers of kite - with velvet roses diggin' freedom flight

A present from you - Strawberry letter 22
The music plays, I sit in for a few

Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...

A present from you - Strawberry letter 22
The music plays, I sit in for a few

Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...

I just delete bits of the longer quotes so we don't get pages and pages of the same lyrics repeated over and over.

Sorry Larry.

Muskrat, Muskrat, candle light Doing the town
and doing it right in the evening
It's pretty pleasing Muskrat Suzie, Muskrat Sam do the jitterbug
out in Muskrat Land And they shimmy...
Sam is so skinny And they whirl and they twirl and they tango
Singing and jinging a jango
Floating like the heavens above
Looks like Muskrat Love.
Nibbling on bacon, chewing on cheese Sam says to Suzie,
Honey, would you please be my Mrs?
Suzie says yes with her kisses
Now he's tickling her fancy,
rubbing her toes muzzle to muzzle now,
anything goes as they wriggle,
Sue starts to giggle

Oh my!
is that for real or have you been composing TVL?

Was this a hit????
 Nope, I didnt do it. Cant take the credit..well, in this case the blame....and yes, unfortunitely and amazingly, it was a hit.

It was also a hit for America in 1973. Well, it only got to No.67 but they were the first group to take the credit...or blame...for bringing this song to the masses. :)

Actually, I have to confess that...I like "Muskrat Love". And I was genuinely disappointed that America decided to drop it from the set list when they played in London recently.

At least this glove puppet shares the love....

Heard this old one on the radio the other day...dopey song.

by Rupert Holmes

Pina Colada

I was tired of my lady
We'd been together too long
Like a worn-out recording
Of a favorite song
So while she lay there sleeping
I read the paper in bed
And in the personal columns
There was this letter I read

"If you like Pina Coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the Cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape."

I didn't think about my lady
I know that sounds kind of mean
But me and my old lady
Have fallen into the same old dull routine
So I wrote to the paper
Took out a personal ad
And though I'm nobody's poet
I thought it wasn't half bad

"Yes I like Pina Coladas
And getting caught in the rain
I'm not much into health food
I am into champagne
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon
And cut through all this red-tape
At a bar called O'Malley's
Where we'll plan our escape."

So I waited with high hopes
And she walked in the place
I knew her smile in an instant
I knew the curve of her face
It was my own lovely lady
And she said, "Oh it's you."
Then we laughed for a moment
And I said, "I never knew."

That you like Pina Coladas
Getting caught in the rain
And the feel of the ocean
And the taste of champagne
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes of the Cape
You're the lady I've looked for
Come with me and escape

repeat chorus twice and fade out

The Picture.........................................Sorry but I think that the SC/Kid Rock thingy was twangy and seedy not to mention depressing. They sound like trailer trash. Both are in bed with someone else when their love is elsewhere. I know it's just me cause it was such a big hit but I never did take to that type of twangy country (music?)

It reminds me of the other one........."I got tears in my ears, from lying on my back, in my bed as cry over you."

Whats that lyric by Shakira where she sings about her boobs being humble and not mistaken for mountains??
Can't think of the title, so I can't find it.

So which one is winning in the contest then?

Is 'My humps' by Black Eyed Peas in equal first position with 'Muskrat Love?'
