Funny as you may think it is, PC is as successful as Perry.

No, Cetera isn't as successful as Perry. Cetera wouldn't get as much attention either with a solo tour OR a reunion with Chicago, for that matter, as Perry would by himself or with Journey.

Agreed. Dennis DeYoung rejoining Styx would be bigger than Peter Cetera rejoining Chicago. But not as big as Steve rejoining Journey.

That was SIX fucking years ago. Six. 6.

And then there was the Walk of Fame cocktease... and the hands all over HIS Journey material.

What a fucking phony. You throw some millions at him and he'll be belting the shit out again.

Gotta love $teve Perry.

Steve Perry is probably worth somewhere between 50 and 100 MILLION dollars. With his tame lifestyle, I highly doubt money has ANYTHING to do with him not singing anymore.

Then why do you only see or hear from him when he can get his music played or his face plastered everywhere?

I'd like to refute your post, but it doesn't make any fuckin' sense. Perry flies under the radar and AVOIDS the camera and media. He goes to baseball games all the time and travels without any fanfare. What the fuck are you talking about?

I agree Dave, I think if Perry rejoined Journey for one tour, they would have to book venues like Texas Motor Speedway. Places that hold 200,000 people. It would be a monster.

That's the funniest shit I've ever read.

I don't know bro. There's a huge core fanbase, plus the casual fans. If they did a tour of 10 shows at large venues like that, they could make a killing.

My problem is that people are talking about Steve Perry as if he's been making music for the last 10 years and he's been releasing albums at some point.

Let's face it... Steve Perry WAS a draw. Steve Perry sold a lot of albums YEARS ago.

Right now he's an unknown quantity. No one knows if he can even sing LIVE, yet he's the biggest draw this side of the Eagles? Please.

Steve Perry WAS the voice of the 80's, now he's a hermit.

Then why has their Greatest Hits sold 7 million copies in the last 10 years?

Because greatest hits albums are created for the express purpose of selling.

Why hasn't Trial By Fire, the great reunion album, sold much more than the 1 million that it shipped?

I think his fans will remember. They, for the most part, are still alive. They, for the most part, listen to classic rock stations and hear his voice still daily, and wondering when they'll hear something new from him. My guess is never, but if it were to happen, I think the response would be amazing. All of these old classic rock bands that have retooled and are touring again are getting huge turnouts.

Chicago is an awful band...Faggy Princesses prancing around singing, "if you leave me now." No shit, she is leaving you now. A bunch of prick pasted dudes dressed in lingerie longing for a woman to hold them. What THE Fuck!?

There's a ton of good stuff from their first few albums. It got fewer and farther between starting in the late 70s but there's still some good stuff there. Still, no comparison to Journey, though.

Rick- if Perry ever toured with Journey, for even a few shows ,it would be in stadiums. The ticket prices with internet bidding and scalpers would probably reach $ 300.00 to sit in the back.

Much as I love the guy I don't think he could fetch them prices and fill stadiums hopping around on one hip.
