Well, outside of his singing abilities, Jeremy must be a kick ass dude, to want to walk into this, even though it must be a dream, as it would be for any tribute band lead singer.
Crazy too with all the stuff that Journey has busted or tried to bus Frontiers for that he would accept, I would think that would be a bit of a struggle.

Something I've always loved about Freddie's voice, and who he was, was just the total lack of pretention in his voice and style. He didn't give a f**k what anyone thought, and he just had the most amazing voice. Live, he wasn't the circus freak that Perry was, but this was a guy who lived every day as if it were his last, and the smoking and drinking never seemed to adversely touch his pipes. You really have 2 sides of the spectrum between Perry and Mercury - Perry, the reclusive "don't touch me"/wrap my throat in linen approach to singing, and then Mercury, the drink a bottle of wine, smoke a pack of cigarettes, party all night approach to singing. Freddie sang almost to the end with that approach, and his delivery and conviction rivaled Perry at his best.

The last thing that Journey needs is a Steve Perry Wannabe, especially one who bites the hand that feeds him.

Why are you so bitter? How did Jeremey bite the hand that fed him?

Ignore that bonehead.

Take your own advice!

How as an artist can you be truely happy and fulfilled to be a man that you can never be sonically, visually and personally, singing his songs? How sad not to be a real part of a legacy, and just be the puppet. RIP Journey. You lied. You said that you were excited about the FUTURE, moving in NEW DIRECTIONS. I don't want to pay to see some Perry-wanna-be. I want to hear something new. Quit bastardizing the songs of my youth that I loved, that represent great times and great people. You guys can play the notes, but the soul and vibe is gone.

Dude,

You need to have listen to Jeremey. The dude can sing like a motherfucker. He could be one of the best pure vocalists on the front today. Before being a dick, remove your emotion and have a listen. He will give you goose bumps.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him and I've only heard him on You Tube. I let my 14 year old son listen to him and he too thinks this guy is great. It's all good!
