Now yes, I will definitely agree with you...if all of that stuff is true, then HH was a piece of crap for stealing from the band. However, in regards to the product itself, HH still deserves most of the credit for making Journey successful in the 80's. And...when the band members themselves (Perry, Friga, Schon..etc..) started having more control of the band, they showed that they made wrong decisions...professionally. I'm not talking about the corporate part of things. Perry got too much control and it showed on ROR. Now, Neal and Cain have too much control, and look at what is happening to the band. That, really, is my whole point. Not trying to crown anybody saint.

And at this point....who honestly gives a rat's ass? I certainly don't. If I was that rude to you and you're taking it this far, then you probably deserved it. Just do us both a favor and stop whining about it and move on to another topic.

That was a great interview and well-written piece. I think I expanded my vocabulary 5% thanks to Herbie Herbert's words. He sure is one humorous and literate genius. I wish you would do a follow-up interview with Sy Klopps. The story is unfinished so many more hidden gems to uncover. It would be great if you ever got to do an interview with the band members to get another side of the story. Too bad they all signed gag orders - makes you wonder what Perry had to hide that he wanted them to sign those things.

I never doubted any of the truth to the castles burning interview. Until an actual band member can step forward and tell the fans his side of the story I'll continue to believe in what Herbert Herbie said and his accomplishments speak for themselves.

I just sent Andrew a message saying something very similar. When I wrote the Castles Burning interview, I was (and still am) adamant that the band be able to continue on without Steve Perry. But, hindsight has a way of putting this all in perspective. Now, I think there is nothing these guys won't do to stay viable, be it fake the vocals at concerts or unceremoniously drop members without consideration at all for the fans. This one is going to bite them on their asses. At this point, the only thing that would make me buy a ticket now is a Perry reunion. And, since that's never going to happen, I feel very strongly that they should just call it quits.
