Let it go already. Focus on the future. Support Jeff. Buy his CD's give them to friends and family. Go to shows. Ignore Journey.
But complaining about Journey on MR is not going to gain anyone anything.
You think Neal and Jon care a WHIT about what you are bitching about? They don't.
The best way to support Jeff is to get out there and SUPPORT him. Screaming on MR about how unfairly he was treated isn't supporting him, it is just bitching, there has been 6 months of it and many people are just sick of the whole thing.
Jeff is the future, just not of Journey. Let them go their Separate Ways and see who shines and comes out looking like the Champ here. It will be Jeff.

The fact of the matter is that what Journey did was/is reprehensible....there's a large number of folk that are still pissed about it...and have a right to be. And until Andrew states that such talk is no longer allowed (which would effectively turn this place into Back Talk), they *still* have a right to discuss it. If you and a few others are sick of us being pissed about it....well, the best I can offer you is "sorry" but that's not going to change my perspective on this...nor will it change whether or not I think the band cares about this.....and it *certainly* will not change my tone of voice around here.

You may think that Neal and Jon dont care...but the fact of the matter is that they tried, for years, to whack back talk....and most recently, their actions towards Andrew (and moreover, Neal's specific reaction to my avatar that I still use on TBJF and used here) suggests that they DO care what people here think. You may think they're above it...but their actions do NOT support this One thing that has rung true at Nomota for well over 6-7 years, is that the voice of disent is fired, destroyed, squashed post haste. Ask people here (and I do not consider myself part of this list, so before mathew even tries this bullshit, dont!) who have been employed by Journey. They'll all tell you, once you speak up, you're shown the door out.

They do care....they do realize that the fan base that's left, is the online, die-hard fan base. That's actually, why they are desperate to find a Perry sound/look-alike. They saw a chance, with the Sopranos bullshit, to pull the wool over the eyes of a potentially new fan base....Whether or not it works, is yet to be seen.

Frankly, I don't think they stand a chance....but that's another discussion and another debate.

Journey these days hey. Going for a new lead singer. I was watching Arnel sing, he is very rough around the edges, very rough front man. I don't understand their choice, because Arnel is going to have to start to loosen up on stage, and take the pole out his backside and start moving around the stage, and put more light, and shade in his vocals and not just yelling it out because anyone can do that. Atleast Augeri had a few things going for him: the name, the look, and as much as I hate to say it, he had some charisma going for him. I kinda miss the guy singing those songs.

If there were a few things I could say to Journey right now.

1. Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should.

2. If you must, please get Steve Perry back.

Why do you hate to say it? Tapegate? As if anyone can now "only" blame SA for that. He was a pawn in the game. We think he could've quit before that started but we don't know the inner workings or contract obligations.
