Crap, almost sixty, filthy rich, BTDT when it comes to the gruelling road, and you loons want him to come out of retirement?

You guys ARE nuts! :)

I am not one wanting him out of "retirement". BUT, it is nice to see him walking among the living.
If he doesn't look happy, well then only he knows the reason.
As for those "mysterious" red marks, maybe those are just signs of aging? As WE ALL get older, weird things happen to our skin. We become, gasp, "flawed". SP is not exempt from the rigors of aging. Sorry if that is painful for some of you to hear

Reading through this thread and seeing the questions about SP's neck scar, reminded me of all that suff I've been reading about for so many years, concerning vocal cord issues.
Vocal cord surgery doesn't go through the neck. For nodules, polyps and any similar v. cords affections, the surgical procedure is done on the inside of the throat.

UNLESS...There is a vocal cord paralysis issue. When both vocal cords (vocal folds) are paralysed, that will cause major breathing problems and the treatment procedure involves a tracheotomy.
However, there are other methods to treat vocal paralysis nowadays so tracheotomy is avoided.

In SP's case,I believe it's what Cat and her doctor friend said...That was a mole or some other external skin problem he had taken care of,not a vocal cord issue.
That scar is not a tracheotomy scar - it would have to be in the middle,in the lower part of his throat under Adam's apple... and it's not.

I'm not convinced this was only a few months ago. If it is, he's getting back into shape and looking quite nice. Perhaps it's time to hit the road soon? ;)

But damn....look at those vocal chord muscles showing, wow...the source of his power. :) Amazing...

I still think he's not done. Something is coming from SP.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Agreed.

At this stage of his life, and being in the Music Business for 30 years...

...the man DOES NOT live in a "vacuum".

He HAD to know that somehow, these pics were gonna be "picked up"...and they were...

I mean, the 1st shot - it looked like he was saying, "Shall we dance?". It definitely wasn't your everyday, "Say CHEESE!" moment.

Whatever it is, he needs to sing it!

Like, "I'm off to the grocery store. I'm off to take a crap." You know we'd buy it! Coming to a theater near you, SP THE MUSICAL, starring the voice and his gaggle of loons, I mean, fans.

"OH REALLY"!!!!

I just want him to do what feels right!
& if I could watch
all the better!

I really feel his apprehension
Are we wanting more than he can give?

If he does any thing
I see it as a small one time benefit thing

He came to the HWOF
Magic
It was heaven
Nothing can ever top those few days for me

Nothing!

I'm not entirely sure that's a scar in that pic. I know some people have said they've seen what looked like scars in pics before, but think about this. He's a wealthy man who can afford the very best in cosmetic surgery. He's also a very private man. Why would he allow a scar as big as that one appears to be when he knows it would cause this kind of speculation?

My daughter was in an automobile accident when she was 15. It broke the C5 vertebrae. Her surgery was a miracle because she could very easily have been paraplegic, but several of the posters here met her at DCVader's last May 11. They went in from the front and she has a scar, but it's not as big as what looks like a scar on Steve's neck in that pic. We were told that a cosmetic surgeon could eliminate the scar, but that our insurance wouldn't pay for it.

The point being that Steve probably would have had a cosmetic surgeon eliminate the scar, whatever the reason for the surgery.

I am sorry that happened to her. She was very lucky. I had a next door neighbor that was a quadraraplegic, couldn't even use the bathroom. His mother would have to come in and disimpact him. I had an ex who was a paraplegic. Not fun at all.

Yep! I did more drinking in bars before I was 21 than I have after. In fact, my "wild oats" as far as booze goes were sewn my last year of college. The majority of my friends are in their 30s. I just happened to be not only the baby in the family, but the baby in whatever group I run with. I can't stand people my own age.
