The absolute best show I ever saw was Sam Kinison in LA in 1988. Pissed myself from laughing so hard. Had liquid shit running down my pants and did not care.

The worst, Journey in 2006, lippin their way through. It was tough to watch. Well, REO on New Years Eve last year(2006/7 was pathetic.

It is true, in my opinion, Tyler and Perry either thrill you death, or completely disappoint you- Ive expeperienced both with Aerosmith.

As far as the musicians in Mr. Big go, it doesn't get any better than Paul Gilbert (guitar) and Billy Sheehan (bass). They are at the top of their game on their respective instruments, not to mention that Eric Martin is a helluva singer.

Damn straight, Dave! :) They had a lot of great songs. One of my faves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=va3PrhB1 ... re=related

LMAO Dean, the only time I heard "Debra" was when I was in trouble/been a bad girl.

Oh boy, where do I start? Some of the bands you guys have listed I wish I could say I've seen  My top show would have to be Def Leppard in 2005 appearing with Tesla. Haven't seen a show quite as good but close and certainly none better.

Have to give Marilyn Manson and Creed an honorable mention though because they were top notch. Newer bands you guys may never have seen live would be Three Days Grace, Hinder and the Exies.

You are a fucking retard and yes, I know who you are.

sorry that you think so, I only responded to topic, and these are my choices in my opinion and my taste. I am sure that people will disagree as I might disagree with their choices and taste.
I don;lt think that makes me a :"retard" just that I have different taste than others.
Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion and taste in music, etc.
Differing opinion and taste is what makes us different.
Not a "retard"

Journey - Under The Radar tour (only because it was such a nice, intimate setting in Austin @ the Backyard).

I was there Liam. front row center!! did you see Deen give that blonde girl the cymbal? that was my daughter.

that was the best show for me during that tour. it was a great night. Deen autographed my Soul SirkUS cd, after I assured him that it was HIS version. I won the autographed drum head. the drunk blonde next to me kept hitting me with her hair like a horse swatting flies, while Neal laughed at me THE WHOLE SHOW because of it. i got there early and spent an hour talking to Kevin Elson about kids, music and life in general.

that is a great venue.

Best live band that I've seen....hmmm....have to say I've enjoyed all the big name concerts I've been to but I actually enjoy hearing local people in small clubs even more...there are very talented musicians all over that just don't happen to have their name in lights but their just as talented as those that do and it's great to sit back in a small place and just enjoy the music. What I really love the most is to listen to family members just sit around and jam at home...thats the best. :)

I remember that. Good for her. :-) I was on the right side...about 3 rows back. Moved up during Don't Stop Believin'.
I didn't get there early as I had no fucking clue where The Backyard WAS. PLUS...I had to go to AUS to pick my friend up who just flew in for the night. Got there about 30 Minutes before showtime. Enough time to down about 6 Jack N' Cokes.

About the drunk blonde who kept hitting you....did you choke her???

Used to dig ZZTop, until I saw them lip sync more than Britney in 2006. Disappointed.

Really? I was there. What did Espee say?

Glass Tiger made a big deal about their "hit," Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone...big long intro, lot's a patting themselves on the back, etc. Anyway, during Journey's set, Perry gave basically the same long intro, sung the first bar of "Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone," and then made some wisecrack about playing a real song. Then they broke into Lights.

BTW, the Cow Palace show sucked compared to Mtn Aire 4 months earlier, didn't it?
