Quite similar. Even more than BGTY. Christ. Is it laziness or just a lack of vision/inspiration?

I personally don't hear much resemblance to BGTY but, yes, it does sound a good bit more like "Believe in Me". I noticed it right away but never really thought of it as being a ripoff.

I think it sounds supurb. Jeff is right. It sounds like Believe In Me..more of the guitar and the rifts and things of that nature..hell almost the whole musical backround.

But, weren't people posting "Believe In Me" and sighed..."What could of been?"

Well you got it. The Band is called Journey. This is what they sound like. Love it.

I would say it's def similar to "BIM"....but not identical...not exactly a rip off...Neal did have a hand in "BIM", did he not?

I'm really disappointed...it's terrible compared to the live version. Lifeless, no real melody to the guitar lead, background vocals too far in the background.

I love the live version, but this has been Kevin Shirleyized to death. No life.

Also, I can hear Arnel's accent here, but it doesn't really bother me.

That's really the only thing that bothered me. It sounds like about three tiny Deens singing into tiny microphones.

Very noticeable. It had to be a move to get Arnels voice outfront and crisp to the point where it doesn't interfere on his vocals.

Hmmmm....I've been a Journey fan since their very first self-titled album in 1975 and I think it's just a retread of BGTY. I guess I'm just a "fucking moron."

Neal is damn good. damn damn good. 8)

alot like be good to yourself, but i am having a bit of trouble, Arnel's diction is still a bit rough to me, maybe it is just me. but all in all, not a bad song.

It's funny that I hear Separate Ways 2 in Message Of Love and I heard Ask The Lonely in The Place In Your Heart a LOT more than I hear BGTY in NWA. I hear a similar style, but not a specific reference.

If I recall, Believe In Me was a Journey leftover "given" to JSS....or am I way wrong here.

Nice to see ya Jeff!!

Huge Schon fan here but this song is pretty average for Neal.

Good tune. I liked Higher Place, To Be Alive Again, Place in Your Heart, and Faith in the Heartland more though.

But hey, it is nice to have new Journey music to listen to again. I give it a 7.5 on the Journey scale. :)

Uh, then call me a fucking liar. What I am shocked at is how any long-time or "deep" fan can actually get excited about this. What's to get excited about? I hope the rest of the CD is better.

Was anyone "surprised" by this? I remember hearing Who's Cryin' Now (a first single), or Separate Ways (a first single), or Be Good To Yourself (a first single) and thinking wow, they really are stretching here. Or at least not offering up the same formula. With this, and Generations, and arrival, it's like "oh yea - there's that old Journey formula". So what. I guess if I wanted that type of growth, I'd listen to Kiss.

Wow - now that you say it, you're exactly right...there is a bit of Ted in his voice.

Danger Danger has a song called "Don't Walk Away"

It's ok...that's about all I can say. I like it just slightly better than 80% of the Steve A material...it ain't gonna win 'em any new fans, though... bet me on that!

Liked the way it sounded, but IMO it sounds way too much like Perry for me to take it seriously.
