Martian Child ~If you have not seen this movie, treat yourself. I cried buckets, and was so uplifted. Guys, it is not a chick flick. My husband was moved by it to. Wonderful for parents out there, or someone with a compassionate heart. Great for teachers to see.

What's wrong with chick flicks?

HOWEVER, 'Beaches' is a no-go. As well as Steel Magnolias, and Fried Green Tomatoes.....BLECH!

Well, I must modify my answer.....What exactly is a chick flick? I kinda enjoy those romantic comedies like 'Serendipity', and 'Just Like Heaven'.

I don't know, some say the ones you mention, some say Sleepless in seatle, I liked the ones you hated, Beaches, Steel Magnolias, and Fried green tomatoes~ those are some guys gripe about!  Guess it is up to the viewer. I just love a great plot. I hate a plot that is too thin. I figure most of them out early. I love one that can actually stump me. Few do.
