I used to think Jeanne Tripplehorn was incredibly hot, but somewhere along the line she kinda cooled off.

Jeanne Tripplehorn is still gorgeous. She's aged incredibly.

I love that HBO show Big Love. I told my sister about. She was going on a trip and brought the first season on DVD and couldn't stop watching it while her husband was driving. Came home and rented the second season and loved it.

I'm addicted to it. I spent one weekend sick on the couch and watched the entire first season in two nights. I would stumble into the kitchen and see it was 4am. I love that show! I can't wait for Season 3 to start!

HOLY Crap! I thought that was just in the "Wanted" movie. If that's real then she's SO off the list...
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Sorry, Rip. Jeanne said no, thanks, that you've "cooled off." Men, always judging women by their appearances, and then they gain thirty pounds or their hair starts thinning or they don't look quite as good as they used to and they still think they're God's gift to women and that all women want them.

I recently joined facebook and have had high school people added as friends slowly. I find it very interesting that all the women, most of whom just turned 40, all look the SAME as they did in high school, and every guy so far looks middle aged and completely different to the point where I would not even recognize them if I ran into them. Maybe it's because guys aren't matured yet in high school, and girls are, but I find it interesting!

Call me a chauvinist if you will, but I find that as a rule, on equal footing/good health/decent fitness, men change far less than women do over the years.

Sure, the star male track runner who stopped doing anything once he got outta college and packed on 100 and got hit by male pattern baldness can leave you shaking your head as someone whispers who he is to you at the reunion. But, I really think women tend to change more with age, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Hell, some of the women I've worked with in the past look like hags in their 25+-year-old wedding pictures but look great now.

I don't think you are old enough yet to get it :P  I am looking at their pictures, and I see a pattern of difference. I'm not saying all the men look BAD at all, I am saying they look OLDER than 40, and the women look like they did in high school. Some of the men actually look BETTER aged! I really think it's because boys mature later than women, and we have our mature look much younger than they do. I haven't seen these people since high school, but I remember all of them. We had a small class of 150.

I used to think she was gorgeous ("Taking Lives" is a good example of her looking her best), but I've also seen her looking really horrible in movies like "A Mighty Heart" (the Daniel Pearl story), where she was too thin in the face with a cartoonish trout pout. I still have a hard time believing she's 33...

Sorry Rip, I think you're great but it's comments like these that make women feel like they are never good enough...never skinny enough, boobs never big enough, never pretty enough, never look young enough. Angelina is GORGEOUS so when comments are made about how terrible she looks-well, where does that put all the rest of us?

Where's Behshad? I know he's in love with Jolie

Oh and the Facebook thing, so funny, a girl from my high school contacted me too to get me into it and it's been neat to make a page there and catch up with people I haven't seen in ages. Even the guy I dated (and almost married, lol) found me and contacted me. Amazing, he was the football/basketball jock, but also a huge rock fan like me so he used to have lots of hair...not anymore!!  But seriously, it's neat to catch up, lol.

What kills me is after reading all these comments, we wonder why our girls are anorexic and suffer from low self esteem!

The best man, is a good man, who loves you, even as you gray, boobs start to sag, lines start to form.

He is perfect to her, even if he gains weight, hairline recedes, and lines form.

The beauty of both is no one can replace the other one, no star, no model, no silicone or botox.

The beauty lies in the heart of true lovers.

That is for you my Daniel. Thanks for being the most wonderful thing I see every day. :D :D :D

I've watched her in all her interviews. She's so stunningly beautiful and has a wonderful smile. Everybody can have a bad photo here or there. But believe me, if all the MR guys who are dissing her were in one place and she walked into the room, they would be changing their tune real quick.

Nope, just been in love for the last 6 years.....my husband is the best. I had a cheeting no good snake of an Ex. He had a no good ex who dumped him and ran off and married a guy with more money. We have been friends since we were 18 and regret the time we wasted on others............I meant every word. Guys are stupid to look for the icing, when the cake is rotten.

Come on now, celebrities are out there for both public scorn and adulation far more than girlfriends, wives, sisters etc are. I've had an anorexic in my immediate family my entire life. It's disingenuous to suggest that such a complicated disease is rooted in men (or women) making fun of what are truthfully very attractive people through and through. Dysmorphic disorders are irrational and complicated. This argument is just as tired as playing the race card.

A rational man doesn't run around trying to look like vintage Arnold any more than a rational woman thinks she's going to have Sheryl Crow's or Shania Twain's body and skin at 40+ (and subsequently don't suffer "low self esteem" because of it) just because that's the "perception."

For the money these fuckers make, people could say anything about me in the most public of places and I'd laugh it all the way to my ATM [/i]

I was commenting not because women are beautiful in hollywood, but because of the fools that drool over them and make their girlfriends feel they could never measure up. Our plastic surgery boom can attest to the fact that the perseption of beauty lies in the cover of airbrushed magazines. We try to teach girls to like themselves as they are, but what do they hear from boys?   Unless you are a girl you don't know the pressures to be beautiful, perfect, etc. Yes the disease is complex, and no it is not all that leads to it, but it contributes to it. Karren Carpenter starved herself because she heard an idiot comment that she was her brothers "Chubby sister'.

Actually he did say he thought she was TOO thin at some point, he didn't say a word about her boobs, and he did say he thought she was gorgeous once. He's right IMO, she does look older than she is, I didn't realize she was 33 either. I think some women when extremely thin like that it makes them look older.
