Well I'd be happy to do more some more, but it wouldn't seem right without "other people giving it a go" :D it can be pretty nerve wrecking since there are some very talented singers who actually read these forums, so.... I mean if I didn't feel comfortable then I wouldn't do it, so it's understandable

I miss the beard...it gave you a aire of mystery...

Hey thanks!, yeah it's a funny thing my voice, that's why I'm going to singing lessons, like I'd sing a song or two in tune partially, the best i can do, then it will go out of tune badly and it's hard for me to tell when that happens, I guess just gotta keep working on it :) but I am getting better all the time, so I am completely open to constructive criticism

Vlad, that was a great effort - your voice has a very nice tone! I would love to take voice lessons too, just to be able to sing Christmas carols and 'Happy Birthday' without feeling self-concious, but there isn't a teacher here. Hopefully next year. Until then, I'll just sit next to my sister-in-law: she isn't shy and she drowns me out nicely. Do you have plans for your singing or are you taking lessons just for enjoyment?

I just joined acic planet last night so not sure how to use it.
I had to convert the orig mp3 file into a wav for the acic planet
Is it like a You Tube site?

I can see one song in my profile
Open Arms

I chickened out & removed it. It seemed to lose something in the translation
It originally had no music but someone on MR set my voice to the music & I think did a pretty good job of matching it
but it still sounds off in places.
It sounded better last night...
A glass of wine is a dangerous thing

I'll have to work on something.

You have some very nice vibrato girl! Just let yourself go more and open up your vocals. Don't hide behind the music so much. I think you really have some good talent that you're supressing. Keep it up, and I'd love to hear more. :D

If you have a mp3 file, just go to www.yousendit.com and upload it to that site. When the upload is complete, it will give you a "url" that you post on here.

How do you upload it? Glad you asked.

On Yousendit, you'll see a Browse button. Click that and you will have to navigate to the folder on your computer where the mp3 file is. Double click that file, and off you go.

How do you navigate your computers hard drive? Excellent question.

First and foremost, you need to know what folder the mp3 file is in. I can't help you on that, because I don't know either. Usually it would be somewhere in your My Documents folder, or a subfolder within My Documents. Yousendit's Browse button will open a window that will show the contents of any folder it is currently "Browsing". In folders like "My Documents" there are subfolders. Such as My Pictures, My Music, and so on. By double clicking any subfolder, you enter that folder and can search within it, or maybe even click another subfolder to Browse within it.

If this isn't enough information, let me know. ;)

Heya Sherry, yeah I would strongly recommend taking some form of singing lessons, even if you can sing already, you know. For me, It's good to have somebody who is qualified to guide me down the right path, and in time you improve, it's helped me ALOT, but obviously I'm still learning and taking in all the help I can at this point. As for plans, about the singing... not sure, at this point it's for fun, even though... I am actually in a band at the moment, but I am keeping that low key ;)

And I will get back to this thread and check out the tunes, when I have more time tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah very nice Shadow, I'd love to hear you sing, just you. I reckon your voice is very good, and would be nice to hear it without the back ground noise :)

Alright, here is another quick raw song I cooked up. Been warming the vocals up a bit before hand, so hopefully will more in tune this time!
