Ah, so when he was canceling shows in the middle of the tour, it was his mother's fault. Makes perfect sense.

As for the broken hip........I mispoke.........I meant the hip replacement......geez your a litteral dude aren't you?

His hip wasn't replaced until AFTER HE LEFT JOURNEY. Or, do you mean the mountain climbing, hiking, bike riding, one of a half dozen sotires he told, that HE said was suposed to be 'fine' before the album was even released? The whole thing is so full of BS and different stories, you may was be talking about a politician...cuz it's 90% bullshit and 10% truth...and NBODY knows what 10% was the truth.

I don't care how many tours he canceled in the past

Like I said, you like to ignore the facts.

It is easy to monday night quarterback an entire lifetime when it isn't you haveing to live it.

I'm saying that his past indicates that he will never tour again. That's not QB'ing anything.

And it seems you are resentful to him for cancelling dates in the past.

No, I just don't put up with the BS that Perry fans like to spew about their idol.

But I wonder why you come on threads that are positive about the guy to shoot him down. :?: :?:

If the thread was positive and REALISTIC, I wouldn't shoot anything.

But it's a free country and if you want to dislike him, resent him, or whatever you feel, your free to do so. But I am just as free to disagree and buy his music and see him if he tours. You can sit at home if you wish.........more seats for the rest of us. :D

That is all irrelevant. I'm saying he will never tour again...A hairball I have been coughing up ever since I heard "I Stand Alone" in a THX theater in a preview for "Sword in the Stone"....it was proof positive for me that his voice would never hold up for an entire concert, not to mention an entire tour.

Oh as far as dealing with it already about the cancelations.........I am not the one it troubles.........seems you are upset about that...........I let it go a long time ago.

What upset me the most is when I found out that he had a meeting to rejoin Journey during one of those canceled dates...and a couple weeks following, his tour was canceled...Yeah, it was bronchitis alright. This band is so full of BS and lies and half-truths, that I find it incredible that people beleive things they are told to believe by Perry, r the band.

Fine, cancel his damn tour...but say it was to rejoin the band, and not the BS of bronchitis....lying to both his fans AND Journey fans.

The excuse doesn't matter to me....cuz he is full of them. Hip, cold, mother...blah, blah, blah. Poor Steve :(

The bottom line is that he has not completed a tour in 25yrs, if you include ROR. I absolutely do not believe, in any way, that he will tour again.

Well said. And if he tours without Journey it's not like anyone, in masses, will give a shit.

If anybody goes out and buys tickets, they are idiots...cuz that tour will be canceled.

I'm actually with Monker on this, but offer a caveat: Perry might not have been as consistent, but I'm sure he still had some fantastic vocal moments during FtLoSM's tour.

If you were born in 1991, I was quoting on discussion forums before you were out of diapers.

:D
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

Fuck it...I'd sit there in one lone chair with my lighter held high...i'd be a concert of one! That's all that matters to me. If he has to resort to House of Blues, or some other smaller venue...all the better for the real fans!

Depends on the quality of his voice. The fact that he is Steve Perry isn't enough for me.

Based on what I've heard, and the most recent songs he's worked on...he's still SMFP! That's enough for me.

Gideon, I like to be a jerk  and I can't master the quote function, I admit. Explain to me how the hell it works. I can only quote a whole post, not line by line. WTF? I've got a college degree and can't use this quote function.

And yes, SMFP had many fantastic vocal moments on the FTLOSM tour. It makes me feel really old to know that you were what, 2 or 3 when he did that tour, is that right? God, I'm old.

I was born in '91. So I was 3 when he put the album out and 4 during the tour.

That's what I thought. What about the quote function? Seriously, I can't make it work. Help an old guy out. You'll be 40 someday and want help!

That's why I'll marry a woman significantly younger than me. :D

I tried that my first time, didn't work. TRUST ME, older women are where it's at. They know what they want, what they're doing and how to explain things to you.
And, what about the quote function? Maybe you think I'm kidding, but I'm not. How the hell does it work?

Madsplash, you are right again............... A younger women says to an older man, "What can you do for me." An older women says to a young man, "What can I do for you." :D :D :D
Therein is the difference.

Hey, Steve Perry can come to my house in Oregon and give a concert in my game room for just the MR folks. An MR concert!! Come on Steve...... :D
I have a huge two tiered redwood deck that doubles as a stage in my backyard. We could sit in lawn chairs and drink Martini's, BBQ and enjoy our very own SMFP concert. :D

Man, you disected everthing I said! LOL! Sorry, not that dilligent. All I hear is I hate Perry and call him a liar on this or that. I am not going to debate on it with someone who clearly has a grudge to hold. As I said, stay at home if you hate him so much........I'll have a good time!   As far as the BS by the Band and Perry........why get on a forum of a band and ex singer that you seem to loath so much? I just don't get all the anamosity. But as I said feel free to like them or hate them..........that is your perogitive. But don't expect the rest of us to get on the hate wagon with you.

Well, for me to see SP, he'd have to lower the price of tickets and come to Vincennes.

If he ever does a show, I hope he films it and sells it on DVD. That way I can enjoy it without all the smells that is entailed by a crowd. :D
