It takes a lot for me to lose respect for someone and debate them. And to back pedal and not take responsibility for a loss ranks up there. I really wish this board had an ignore feature. I'd wear the shit out of it.

You and me both.

It's easy to have your own built-in ignore feature. I use mine a lot. It's very simple.

And it KILLS me that I don't have your respect. I won't sleep well at all tonight, that's for sure.

I stand by what I said. I called Stern a turd based on his talent, not just throwing it out there for no reason. Deal with it.

If someone says that SP's lack of talent makes him a knob, that's fine. Not just for no reason.

What a joke Stern is.

As Bette Midler told George Costanza, "Get some talent, then you can mouth off".

Do I claim to have? No. I don't speculate on SP's personality, just because I know what he's been doing in the studio.

What's your point? To call someone a name is silly if you don't know them personally.

No oops. My comment is judging his lack of talent. I don't know him personally and don't want to. Based on his work, he's a no talent terd. Very simple.

WRONG. You said to call someone a name that you don't know is silly. And then you went right ahead and did it (called Stern a turd). Don't try to back-pedal and double-talk out of this. You were just OWNED and the proof is right there in front of you. You are never wrong are you? Man up and admit defeat, it's OK you won't die.

WRONG. Look at my original post. I said Stern had no talent, that's why he's a turd. The person called SP a knob without saying anything about why.

Owned? OK. I'm wrong as much as anybody. When I am, I'll admit it.
Man up? I'm confident in my manhood. I've been defeated many times in life and always bounced right up swinging. It's my nature and how I was raised.

Then you were raised wrong. It doesn't fucking matter why you called him a turd, you just did. And then ragged on other people for calling people names when you said it was wrong to do so. PERIOD! The word hypocrite comes to mind. I'm done. OWNED. BYE.

They divorced 23 years and three children after that incident about him saying something on the air about her miscarriage, so one had absolutely nothing to do with the other. The fact is most people who hate the guy have never even listened or know anything about him (or his show) other than what they hear second hand. It's not all strippers and horrible "shocking" behavior. His interviews are some of the best I've ever heard.

I agree. Some of his interviews have been fantastic. I've mentioned before the Paul McCartney one years ago, which was the best I've ever heard with Paul.

It's funny hearing Howard talk about the Filipino singer for Journey. The Congress of Filipino-American Citizens filed a $65-million lawsuit against him in the past for talking about how Filipinos eat their young and sell their daughters as sex slaves. Of course since he seems to be bashing SP and seemingly giving props to Pineda all that's forgotten about.

Amazing huh, Stern was talking about an incident that happened in 1980. I thought a more inflammatory incident, even it was in 1992 wouldn't be that easy to forget.

Not easy to forget as in like bitter Journey fans who are still unable to accept the fact that the band moved and could move on without Perry? Do you think sensible Pinoys are going to be that bitter? Nah I don't think so. Too much negativity and wallowing on bitterness could mess a person up. You don't have to go far to find an example. While there are talented and brilliant minded people on this forum, there *were* also those who are fucked up because they chose to live, breath, and masturbate Journey affairs.

Would I post on a Howard Stern forum hammering on an argument over and over again about something he said more than a decade ago when I have no first hand knowledge of the event in the first place? Definitely not.

Ya know, I have never wanted to punch Howard Stern in the face before, but now I do. He just needs to get the fuck over it and realize that being called Big Bird was actually a compliment. Does the ugly Mother Fucker own a mirror? And he probably was jealous that Steve was making out with the hot blonde (I'm jealous of the hot blonde lol) because I'm sure there was not hot blonde waiting at home for him. Why you ask? Cause he is a dumb Fuck! Wow, do I feel better.. :D

Uh, I have to admit that Stern does look like Big Bird to me...tall, head of head, and beak! SP looks sort of like a Little Bird...shorter, head of hair, and beak! IMO.

You want to punch Howard Stern in the face b/c he called out Steve for being rude one time? Big Deal. I'm sure it happened. It's kind of funny. Perry was right.

There's plenty to punch Howard Stern in the face for, but for that? Steve Perry is a big boy. He doesn't need his loons all upset wanting to beat Howard Stern up b/c he was called a bad name by a mean boy.   How about punching Howard Stern in the face because he encouraged a misguided young woman to strip in his studio completely naked? No problem with that? I thought not.

So, leme get this straight, SP called HS Big Bird back in 1980-something, and HS is still stewing over it? I have to tell you, this just cracks me up. The funny thing about it is it's a little bit of the coffee calling the kettle black. Those two look like they could have been hatched from the same egg. SMFP cracking jokes about someone elses beak?!? Hilarious.

HS isn't stewing... as I first heard the story... Perry's name came up in Robin's news because it was his b-day that day and the mention of Perry made HS recall the story... the audio posted in this thread was about 2 years after that.... the name comes up, reminds a person of an incident, and the story gets told. That's all HS did. I mean, how often does someone mention someone we don't like and it reminds us and we tell a story like "oh, yeah that guy... you know, this one time..." I wouldn't call it stewing. Those are the only 2 times I ever heard SP mentioned on that show.

I can't speak for the other people who posted, but my feelings of disgust for Howard Stern have nothing to do with Steve Perry. Stern could call SMFP the best f-----g singer that ever lived and wax poetic about Steve's dulcet tones and I would still think Stern is a jerk. :x :x :x IMO
