Well now, Perry may not actually BE Journey, but without Perry (to a certain number of fans) Journey is like Gumbo with out the rue. It might be a nice soup, but it ain't Gumbo.

If I had a thousand dollars it would go towards my total knee replacement. There's no way I'd pay to see the concert. There would be a DVD to make more money for whatever. So l'll wait for the DVD to come out.

I would pay 1 million dollars!   All joking aside...I would definitely pay $1000. I once spent $400 for 2 front-row center tickets to see the Styx, Reo, Journey concert a few years back, and it was the best concert I've ever attended! I shook hands with pretty much everyone, and stood only feet away from every lead singer there. I couldn't hear SHIT for 3 days afterwords though! :D

$1,000 dollars a ticket? No thanks. By the time it's all said and done, 1,000 cash money turns into 3,000 easy ones that could turn into $6,000 when the fat lady sings. Of course, that's if I had that kind of money to blow, but in my case, no. $2-300 bucks a ticket, maybe. We're in a recession fuckers, lets simma downa.

I'll pay $33,000,000,001.

And the likelyhood of me having that sum of money is about the same as this theoretical reunion

Hey it's IMHO - was not a cheap shot....and it's up to personal preference on what you or I believe to be true.

Liquid_Drummer wrote:$1000.00 ? I wouldnt pay that much to see anyone ever. If Jimi Hendrix came back to life and charged $1000.00 for a show I still would not pay it !

Why not? As a liquid drummer you could just sell some of your liquid assets and come up with the cabbage.

(So funny I forgot to laugh.)

It depends...

Postby ttango1 » Tue May 19, 2009 4:28 pm

Since it's questionable if the Voice can still sing those high notes, then...maybe not. If he can do it, then probably. When he sang DSB for the White Sox, that was like...seriously?

Although that ticket price is about a 10000 percent uptick in price since I last saw him during the Raised On Radio tour, I'd do it...Since it's a charitable event, it should be a tax deduction.

For a one night show, it wouldn't matter if Perry could sing or not. It would be about having the HOF lineup of Schon, Perry and Cain performing one more time.
If it was about singing, an old rock group like Bon Jovi would never have sold out 100 shows last year and Revelation would be 3X Plainum.
This show would be a salute to the Journey legacy and the three men who brought it to its apex.
