Does anyone know if Chastity received her new bono yet?

I'm surprised she has gender identity issues... she had such a stable childhood and emotionally available parents. Who would have guessed it?

Well, gender identity issues are rarely mentioned as unstable homelife as the issue. They had a Diane Sawyer special on these children. They all come from wonderful families but from a very young age feel they are the other sex. They followed quite a few children. It was amazing how eventually the parents wanted their children to be happy and let them be what they wanted, but as puberty sets in it becomes tricky. But the openess and devotion and total love these parents had for their children was beautiful b/c these children become very suicidal if forced to live as the sex their body is but not what their mind feels.

I had gotten my information from some articles I read in the late 80's, but the articles were based on women changing to men, not men changing to women. The problem women were having was they wanted a functioning penis, which never really happened. One chick had to insert a small rod into the skin taken from her lower abdomen which was supposed to be her new penis. She couldn't blow a nut and that's what they really want when they get these penis operations. Even though I thought the entire thing was fucked up and abnormal in all aspects, I was interested to learn as much about it as possible. But in the articles that I read back then, the chicks who got the sex change were not satisfied because the thing that they got as a penis, didn't perform as they had hoped and thought it would.

As for the guys changing to women, I only read one article about a fellow who had that done and he was quite depressed and basically felt he had ruined his life because removing his penis and putting in a pussy in it's place, he could no longer get an orgasm. He missed the orgasm and had wished he'd a left it alone. Not sure what the suicide rate is for guys changing to women, but I know from the 80's articles, the chicks changing to men have the worst problem with the outcome because basically its just a hanging piece of skin that doesn't do anything except when they put in a rod or in some cases there's a air bag inside that they can pump up when they want to get a hard on. But still they don't get any orgasmic sensations while utilizing it during sex acts.

I think in the long run, it would be much easier just to accept what he or she was born as and leave it at that. I'm just happy I don't have any of these issues about my own self. Thank fucking goodness for something.....fucking lucky I guess.

Many don't have the sex change re their genitalia but do everything else, like the hormones and breast reduction and live like a man and are very happy. There are studies that the operation changing genitalia may not be the answer for everyone and cause problems. You say they should accept what they are born as, but you're missing the point. They feel they are the opposite sex and would be in hell for us to force them to live like that the rest of their lives.

They need to come to terms with what they were born with and make the best of it. I wish I was born 6 foot tall and more better looking. But that didn't stop me from making the best of what I was born with and accepting me for who I am. But then again maybe it's different to want to be a different sex....I don't know.

Sex changes to them are like buying the best guitar gear was to me. It was the answer that solved my desire. I thought that I could go out and buy the best guitar with the best installed equipment and buy the best guitar pedals and amps and that would solve all my problems because buying all that stuff would enable me to be the guitarist that I wanted to be. But it doesn't work like that, just because you got the money to spend on the equipment doesn't necessarily mean that getting the equipment will make you perform to the degree as you desire. My desire was to be able to play an axe as good/if not better then EVH and the likes. I bucked the system as hard as I could and purchased all that equipment and gear. But in the end, it turned out that I was born to sing, and that was what I did well. Not playing the guitar. Back in my youth I was a hard headed mutherf*&#er and I blew big dough on guitars and equipment. If I was wise like I am now, I would have saved myself from all that drama and just did what I was born to do instead.

So its sort of the same type of deal.....I think. One huge lesson I've come to terms with over say the last year or so is, it's more fun to wish for things then it is to actually get them. I'm not sure if that's just me or if that's the way it is across the board for everyone. I know for me anyways that it's true. Whatever happened to the saying "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence"?

You keep missing the point. I think you should watch the show I posted above. It's not wanting the best new guitar gear. It's who these people are as human beings, what they feel they are to the core of their being. You're a male, but if you woke up one morning with a female body and yet in your mind you're still absolutely a male, could you change your mind to be and act like a woman to match the body even though you didn't feel like a woman in any way? If you think so, you have no insight at all into what these people go through, and relating it to wanting to be a guitar player versus a singer so buying the equipment shows you have no insight.

Why all the psycho babble about why she did it? My only concern is that my tax money doesn't pay her fugly way once she begins to experience all the overweight diseases/illnesses that will undoubtedly come her way. Who cares what Cher thinks? She's an opportunist who never lets a crisis go by if she thinks she can get something out of it. She's been with so many "men" she probably lost count before she turned 21.

This whatever it's called - is GROSS - no matter which way you slice the gender. What kind of boyfriend/girlfriend/what the hell ever would want somebody like that? Voyager's picture proves mamma and whoever are two of a kind. Both are fugly looking wackos.

I'm not missing any points here. What I'm saying is sometimes people think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence and after they spend tons of money to get what they want (in this case she's spending money on a sex change), it turns out not to be as the way they had thought it would be. What she's doing is in fact worse because once you've altered yourself, it's next to impossible fixing it back to the way it was.

I'm not a mind reader or fortune teller (if I was I would win the fucking lotto and dissapear into the sunset forever), but I can tell you I would bet that MJ after all the money he threw at his face operations over the two decades, I can tell you I bet he'd a rather kept it as it was before all that. Plus he'd a probably been willing to spend twice as much having it returned to the way it was when it was natural. Same as Chastity, after she goes through all this bullshit, she may be more misurable then had she just left herself the way she was born and just made the best of it.

That's all I'm saying. I wanted to be born 6 foot tall and better looking, but I made the best of it even though I was born to be 5'11" and just average looking. It's too bad that people just can't except the cards they were dealt and make the best of it.

Just because my mother was wanting me to turn out gay like all her gay friends, doesn't mean it had really any effect on me one way or the other. My mother wanted that because she didn't want another woman to come between her and I. Some mothers are like that I've heard. We didn't grow up in a family orientated home to say the least. So for that reasoning, my wife comes first before anyone else. You know how some couples fight over who's family they are going to spend the holidays with and in what order (hers or his parents, first, second, etc.? That doesn't go on in my relationship with my wife. She's my priority in all aspects.

This is such a laughable non-issue. Geez.

Find someone and something to love...or not.
Live simply...no matter what your physical makeup.

Grow a garden.
Feed that which feeds you.
Meditate.
Laugh often.

Yeah, that's exactly what Chastity Bono should be doing instead of altering her body by changing her sex.

I'm sure I'll be hearing about this issue all the way in Japan when we get there in two days. The Japanese love these types of "freak" shows to talk about on TV. It's a given we'll see this story at least one time while we are out eating somewhere. A lot of small mom and pop places to eat at in Japan will have a tv going.....so I'm sure we will see a story about this over there.
