I'll tell you what's sad. This guy pays his money, gives a honest review, not denigrating the band at all and yet someone links his review to the Arnel Website and now he's being treated like a hater because he didn't praise the band to high heavens even though he enjoyed the show.

We as of late you sound like the one who is bitching to me, someone went to a concert and does not hold the same opinion as you do....so it is assumed that he is dogging AP....just because you think the performances are killler does not mean that everyone does.

I don't understand why people can't get or accept the fact that some of us just don't like the new line up and that is okay!

and YES I hope Perry puts out some more solo stuff.....but that still will not change my opinion that I would rather listen to the dirty dozen with SP on lead vocals.

After reading Rdekker's earlier posts, it seems he is a big Journey fan. When someone pointed out that Journey and Jeff's paths would be crisscrossing in Holland, Rdekker mentioned how Journey would be playing 5,000 seat arenas and JSS would be playing 1,500 seat venues. Doesn't sound like a Journey hater to me.

There's room for all viewpoints, but if someone jumps up and says "I think this Journey concert with [insert favorite singer here] was awesome", why do people feel the need to yank that down to "well, yeah, but it's not as good as when...." Every post is getting like that.

Okay I get that you think it gets old....and I have said that I am trying to refrain from coming into a AP thread and saying that SP is better......but do you understand that I don't like the new stuff.....and don't think that they should have re-recorded the songs that I liked the way they were...and that fuels my dislike of the new lineup?

I wish no ill will to AP and I think it is great that he seems to be doing well with the tour....but Maybe it's the part of me that thinks Neal shoud have waited...or maybe it's the offhanded comments he makes....it just does not bode well for me to say..oh well I love the new line up....lastly I really have issues with AP's delivery of the songs....it may be that my ears are just used to SP and when I put on the re-records it made me say no thanks....

I didn't realize I raked you over the coals. Madspash, yeah, but you? I don't remember. In fact, what pressed this button was MS's reply to the original post. It's like "God, come on... everybody knows you're going to say that..."

And Gbot, I don't support the guy posting whatever at Ap's site. That's stupid too.

Okay I get that you think it gets old....and I have said that I am trying to refrain from coming into a AP thread and saying that SP is better......but do you understand that I don't like the new stuff.....and don't think that they should have re-recorded the songs that I liked the way they were...and that fuels my dislike of the new lineup?

I got raked over the coals by others and I was assuming you were going to be next....I really don't think that I compare to Madsplash as I don't come here saying I have inside information and I am the biggest fan of Steve Perry...and I have said that I actually like Arrival. I don't think I would say that if I was such a Perry Loon...as SA is the one who filled the spot after the TBF breakup.

I wish no ill will to AP and I think it is great that he seems to be doing well with the tour....but Maybe it's the part of me that thinks Neal shoud have waited...or maybe it's the offhanded comments he makes....it just does not bode well for me to say..oh well I love the new line up....lastly I really have issues with AP's delivery of the songs....it may be that my ears are just used to SP and when I put on the re-records it made me say no thanks....

I don't expect you to agree, but the other thing is if we all loved the new line up things would be a little boring around here...we would have nothing to discuss.

As I said before I will try to be more careful in my posting.....I do not want to disrespect AP....for I do not have a issue with him.

Did any Journey fan (pre AP) want the re-records? No. There is no point bringing this up anymore. No one wanted them.

We as of late you sound like the one who is bitching to me, someone went to a concert and does not hold the same opinion as you do....so it is assumed that he is dogging AP....just because you think the performances are killler does not mean that everyone does.

I don't understand why people can't get or accept the fact that some of us just don't like the new line up and that is okay!

and YES I hope Perry puts out some more solo stuff.....but that still will not change my opinion that I would rather listen to the dirty dozen with SP on lead vocals.

I don't think the non-ap fans should shut up. But to constantly squeeze everything through the perry filter is just tiresome and creates the same resonse every time. Why keep doing it? There's room for all viewpoints, but if someone jumps up and says "I think this Journey concert with [insert favorite singer here] was awesome", why do people feel the need to yank that down to "well, yeah, but it's not as good as when...." Every post is getting like that.

I did! Seriously, I thought it would be interesting to hear. I was really disappointed in the production, but I don't think they were trying anyway. I didn't suddenly forget about Perry or anything! Who knew!!

Well I didn't get it and apparently brywool didn't either. We posted without no knowledge about the stuff from the other site. Before your first post on this thread, all the replies had their points. None disrespected rdekker.

I understand what you're saying, but my point is you should not assume anything. If you said something about the other site on your first post then I would have understood. Chubby posting links to the other site is not a reason to assume people read what people are saying there. And besides, the links I've seen from chubby are reviews and videos of the J shows, not really reacting to what is being said by other fans.
