You must really have a burr when it comes to Perry. I choose to remember those days. If he would ever do a concert with them then you would see how it was in the 80's. Perry always said that Journey was the sum of its parts.
I know exactly what the fuck you were talking about. You chose to bring up Journey's concert attendance minus Perry, so I thought it was only fair to bring up Perry's concert attendance minus Journey. Advantage: Journey. You can't have it both fucking ways. You opened your yapper and I shut it. Now you're whining like a fucking baby sucking on a rotten tit because you presented a flawed argument.
And I know what their success was like in the 80's. We all do. Spare us the history lesson. That succes will never be matched...even if Perry came back. The musical landscape has changed too much.
Never never never
Agreed, GB. And that's why it was dumb for Squirt to throw that out as an argument. If Perry coming back can't replicate that success, how can one use that as criteria for Arnel to? That's why my response was...creative.
That's how I feel even about a reunion tour with Perry. While it may sell a few tickets more then what they are doing now, it won't be the end all concert to blow away all other shows. The success in the 80's was a lot to do with timing, the tenacity of Herbie, along with the muscle of Columbia Records and MTV (MTV may have been the major contributor to their success, the more I think about it).
