They fucked with Rock n Roll. They ridiculed it. they mocked the very existence of it. Doesn't the history of Rock n Roll mean anything? To those guys it sure wasn't too important then and now for them to want to be elected into the hall of fame? You have got to be kidding me. They made a foolery of the institution that is music. they MIMED. They ALL knew it. They are ALL guilty. They will NEVER get in, not after the shit they pulled. Steve Perry excluded, they should all hang their heads in shame.

You can all keep being fans of this horseshit act, but please stop talking as if it belongs in the same sentence as classic rock greats who would never think to fucking mime a song once, let alone an entire tour, then lie about it, then call the correct fans alcoholics and drug users. What a shame. I lived for this band and its' music..now I am forever embarrassed I did so.

The music, for me, hasn't changed by the antics of any members. I keep the music and the members separate. My memories from childhood can't be tarnished and the great music the various members of this band have made over the years sounds just as good now as ever.

PS Rock and Roll is about sex, drugs, fights, backstabbing, breakups, divorces, deaths and timeless music. With the exception of death I think Journey has carried the torch rather nicely.

Hey, the simple fact is that Augeri couldn't sing, he was sick and was struggling. He tried to keep it together, and he kept a good attitude about it, but the bottom line is he couldn't keep up the schedule. So for many shows, I am told, he would feel good about going into the show and then would fall apart and Elson would have to sweeten his vocals with the ghost track. Journey would have never calculatedly tried to lip sync or air guitar shows....The guy was sick, mortally wounded in a vocal sense. Unfortunately he couldn't step down or walk away from the situation. So he tried to hold on longer than he should have. The whole situation is not one of a band trying to cheat fans, but a band struggling with a singer who was going down, but wasn't quite willing to hang it up. It may be shameful the way some in the band have portrayed the situation, but they are not PR experts, and more often than not are going to put their foot in their mouth.

It sucked, BIG TIME. For the fans, for the band, and for everyone involved.
